These are plastic files folders. Hold a lot and saves your documents from falling out, getting crumpled edges.

Depends on what you need but works for me

I've been using these about a week and they serve my purposes for classes. I reuse exam copies, so I use these for storage. The most I have packed in was about 150 pages and it was fine - you have to expand the bottom first. On a daily basis, I use them to store fewer pieces like my syllabi and rosters, and place them in a large handbag. As to durability, I think these will hold up well for items I store because I'm not going in and out of them or carrying them regularly. They are not the strongest and if you over-stuff, you can expect them to come apart at the seams for sure. I'm using these to replace my 2-inch paper expandables, and I do prefer the look and cleaner appearance. (Paper folders easily picked up marks and spots being toted around). There is no dedicated label space - I don't need this because they are see-through, but one could use stick-ons easily near the top of the opening if items are standard 8.5x11 and properly seated.

Great value,! Great price!

I searched everywhere for these in stores, but no place had them. We use these as communication folders to hold any flyers or papers that need to go home with students, and I’m glad I found these. They hold up as long as they’re not extremely overstuffed.

Key file holder

I bought the poly file jacket provide sturdy short term desktop storage for my working files. The poly files were easy to store folded in a drawer, shelf or box and then expanded simply to enable easy access for my working portfolios. One of the best features is the easy, non-catch feature of the folders as paper and folders slip in with little friction. Another feature that helps is the flat closed side that enables files to stand up so they can be readily accessible. Lastly the the poly material makes it easy for labeling and it has long term resilience.

Thin and flimsy

I was looking for some file jackets to help organize my filing cabinets. However, these don't stand up well on their own and are so very narrow that I can't put much in them before they're full. I've been using them to transport smaller stacks of paper to/from work and they do work well enough for that purpose.

These are a staple.

When I first purchased these, quite a bit ago, I wondered how they would hold up, given how thin they are. They hold up really well! I use these for day to day uses, short term projects, and longer term storage of papers or completed projects. I use the colors in coding for different things. With this, I wish there was a traditional red v the sort of dark magenta, as well as have a few packs of files of the same color. But, then, my choices would probably be different than others! I am one who routinely prefers the primary colors, as those work well for color coding. As for the "thinness," they do hold up well. Over time, the corners have sometimes gotten bent, but I have yet to have any of the heat sealed body part give way....quite sturdy.

Flimsy; Overpriced At $1,50 A Folder

Bought these assuming they would be the "same" as some folders I already had from several years back. They are not, however, of nearly the same quality. These folders are very thin, as is, perhaps, aptly captured by their description of being trasparent. And they lack structure; that is, unless filled with papers, they are unable to "sit" upright on their own. Considering their average price is $1,50 each, they are also overpriced. Would not recommend.

Size

The key word in the description of this item is "letter size" which is slightly smaller than A4. So all documents I've put into them are curled to fit. I'm happy with the quality.
