Adaptability

I have an older Pelican (Viper) kayak and although it is the same size as the old the connections are completely different but was able to make some modifications so it still works

Despite it saying that it was the proper seats for the kayak,which it wasn’t, we were able to make it work.

Excellent product, not "universal" fit

Through no fault of the seller, this kayak seat does not readily fit my kayak. I will have to do some modification to make it fit. However, that doesn't alter the fact that this is an excellent seat cushion and a major improvement over the original seat. This should fit most sit-on-top kayaks and provide excellent cushioning and back support. There is ample adjustment range, and a simple mechanism for adjusting the seat back support. Great product, fantastic price and service!

Didn’t fit

This seat did not fit my pelican seat backs. We had to trim the hard plastic seat back to slide the cover over my seat back.

You may need

Installed it and tested today to kid's 6 ft kayak. According to my son the seat is always shifting back and forward ( there is no point of contact between seat and the back). To be honest I think the seat is good and perfectly fits lifetime 6ft kayak I will glue a couple of Velcros so he won't complain again. You may need YST 10 Pcs Kayak Nylon Bungee Deck Loops and a rivet gun to install it.

Seat for my Paddle board with Dring

I bought this to fit onto my paddleboard that has the D rings for connecting. Works great when the water is too rough for stand-up I can use as a kayak

The seat is not a sit a sit on top kayak seat , it has no support for position the seat on top of kayak so is false advertising,do not purchase if you like I thought it was a sit on t o p seat for a kayak.
