Decent wig for the money

My 11 year old daughter wore this wig with a Victorian ghost costume and it looked great! She got lots of compliments. The hair was smooth and very curly. We did not do any styling and did not touch it before putting it on, which probably helped keep it smooth and curly. The bangs hung straight down in her face, but looked fine when pinned back. If you don't want bangs in your face or want to pin them, don't purchase this wig. The elastic band was easy to adjust and hook in place. At the end of the evening, the curls were falling and the hair had frizzed a bit probably from trick-or-treating in the humidity and just running around like a kid, but it still looked pretty good for a ghost. She did not complain of any itching and it stayed in place for several hours. If you need it for one or two appearances, it will do the job.

Not bad for the price

I bought this on a whim for a Cruella cosplay. It's basically exactly as excepted. This is not a wig I would recommend for beginners, but it's great for intermediate costumers. It needs a little bit of TLC in order to lay flatteringly, especially since the last 1.5" of the wig cap have no wefts at all sewn in. Additionally, the wig cap is perfectly round, there's no dips for ears, meaning you need to be very good at hiding your side burns. I would personally recommend giving this wig a fabric softener bath. Even though it's very soft, the white part does come off a bit shiny and plasticy looking in a lot of light. The fabric softener will help tone that down. Like I said I probably wouldn't recommend it for beginner level, because it takes some work to get those side burned hidden. That being said if you're a decent hand with wigs and makeup, there's it a GREAT wig for the price.

Great Wig for a great price

Great Wig for a great price. Colors are as expected, very full and the curl held up. My only compliant is the length and coverage of the front of the wig. The front is very full and the sections hang down to about chin length. The front covers your face so you have to tuck behind your ears, but still need to pin it back. I ended up trimming mine and creating full bangs across the front. Ordered a Mardi Gras mask to wear with it and the mask had a headband, that helped in keeping the front away from covering my face as well. For the price it's worth it even if you end up trimming it.

Best purchase decision I've made all year

I'm so glad I bought this wig! I had eyeballed it for awhile and figured what the hell. As other reviews have said the bangs are kinda funky but considering how pretty the rest of the wig is, who cares? I just pinned the bangs to the side with hair pins. I can't stand hair, especially wig hair, touching my face anyway so I would've tucked that piece back no matter what. As you can see, the colors are very bold and pretty. I wish I could get my natural hair colored like this and as a hair stylist, believe me, I've tried. Buy it. You won't be disappointed in the quality or the style.

Nice!

I did a Peppermint Butler costume and added bangs to the wig. It was comfortable and stayed in place. I may just add a few more apparent red stripes next time i use it, but only to be more pepperminty. Great wig.

Awesome costume piece!

I received sooooo many compliments on this wig. It did not get tangled easily and I was able to wear it for multiple long 8-10 hour events. It is slightly difficult to connect the band underneath for it to stay secured tight enough as it seems it run a little small, but I could have not been securing it accurately as well.

More than I expected!

I expected a cheap wig but this is really nice!! The colors are great and the hair is really nice. I'm taking a star off because I don't believe the curls will last all night. I wore it for 15 mins and they started to fall. BUT I was touching it quite a bit to style it. I will not be touching it when worn. And bangs hang in your face. I'll need to pin them somewhere. Other wise it's perfect for my costume!! Love it!!

I'm giving this wig 3 stars when I so wanted to give 5. When I first got it I put it on and was surprised at how thick it was and it looked great. I had a custom wig on order that I cancelled after trying this on. So I put it away until I needed it for a party. When I put it on the second time and tried to style it I noticed the black thread holding the wefts was in a weird spot right in the front side. I was able to cut a few strings but not enough to style it how I wanted so I just pinned it back to cover it. If I had noticed it the first time I probably would have sent it back to exchange it. But worth the price of this is just a one off issue with this particular one.

Usually love Leg Avenue, but this wig is leaving me quite sad

I usually love Leg Avenue products - but unfortunately this one has left me greatly disappointed. Pro: it has beautiful colors (i ordered the gray & red), but came with flat waves, not the curls that were shown on the only picture provided with the description which was of the black/purple wig. The negative of the waves is that it requires styling, especially to get the bangs to sweep out of your eyes rather than simply falling directly into them. But, and this is where the wig get it's 1 star rating: it cannot be brushed! the hair fibers are of cheap costume wig material (not expected for the price paid) which instantly tangles into knots. Sadly completely unbrushable. Owning many, many wigs, of varying quality, this is unfortunately the worse quality & most frustrating fiber I've ever encountered. Even sadder in such a beautifully colored wig! It can't be worn as is - it will look like a rat's nest within an hour of wearing. Even using a professional wig brush can't get it untangled, n'or did a quality wig detangling spray. Hopefully mine was a quality control miss that shouldn't have been shipped out, in the meantime I've been trying to figure out how I could make use of it after all, seeing as it is too close to the scheduled event it was purchased for to get a different wig. Thinking I'll give in and try to style it into an updo - one that never has to be taken down & restyled again as this wig simply can't be brushed. Sad, as it was supposed to be trailing down my back. :( Best to purchase 2 cheaper wigs of different collors & merging them together - would get better results: a thicker wig of better quality.
