Great value

This set up works great for a beginner set for our 10 year old. I wish you could adjust the flow as it is super aggressive and strong which scares my 10 year old. When it free flows it’s super strong and none of our aqualung set ups do this and that is what we are used too. Other than the strong flow it is nice. We will probably need to get a different hose for the octo as it’s too long for our 10 year old. That probably would t be an issue for an adult so not a complaint. Just a comment that might help another junior diver looking at this as an option. The first stage takes some getting used to as it is different our aqualung set ups and the hoses arc up before coming down vs straight out and down to the BC. Nothing is wrong with the first stage it’s just a different.

High Quality Item Visually

Impressed with the apparent quality of this equipment, upon unboxing. Haven't had a chance to use it in the water yet, so must reserve final judgement until then, but it appears to be as good as anything I've ever owned, and I've been diving since 1974 and was a diving instructor (PADI/NAUI/CMAS) for 20 years. I'll keep you posted.

I had no problems.

I purchased two for my son and his girlfriend. I’m a PADI dive master with 1000s of dives around the world. Took trip to key largo FL in Aug2021. It was cheaper for me than renting and having to return rented regulators each day. Delivered within 5 days. Easy assembly, worked as advertised for a week of diving. First stage is straight out from tank which makes connections a little bit of pain and hoses aren’t aligned smoothly over shoulder for 2nd stage and pressure gauge. But not a major problem. I kept an eye on the son/girlfriend and felt more comfortable after more dives. Overall not one problem. Which is what I expect. Not sure they will hold up over time, they are very light plastic so probably not very durable but served there purpose for me. We’ll try them again in Hawaii, let you know more later.

Great price for a working kit - great for recreational diving

Bought this and had it delivered free the next day for a rapidly upcoming Scuba trip. I comes unassembled so you do have to have wrenches and mechanical aptitude. This regulator kit worked great for warm water recreational tour diving- I did notice an increase in breathing effort at about 110 ft. but I generally stay over that, so consider that. The hose for the primary reg was too short for me, so I switched to a 4" longer one. Overall great bang for the buck for a regulator kit you need in a hurry. Update: About 40 recreational dives in warm waters. This kit works just fine and cheaper than a reg overhaul.

Bought two, one defective after 14 dives

I bought two of these regulators to play with on a trip to Maui. Did 14 dives — the breathing was smooth and I took them down to 90 feet without a problem. I was feel pretty good about the great deal I got! Until I had a problem. On the last dive the second stage went into free flow. Per the reviews I am not the only person to have this problem. The first stage actually seems quite nice....but the second stages seem pretty poor and would put you at risk at depth. If you're on a tight budget I think you'd be better off looking for something like a Cressi XS2 for that can be picked up in the low 200s and has a second stage that won't fail on you. If I replace the second stage regs, I'd trust these. But until then, I am keeping my buddy in eyesight.

Works well with a great price!

I bought these items because it has a great price, fortunately, it has met my expectations, during my first use dove to 70 ft it works well and had no problem with it. Compare to some other brand with a higher price, this set is the best for me. Great product with a great value!
