No more hair down the drain!
I have long hair so I was pretty concerned that eventually it would clog the pipes in the shower. Cleaning them out would be quite a job, so I searched for a good solution and found this OXO drain protector. I bought one for both the shower and two tubs as well as the kitchen sink drains. I LOVE them! they do exactly what I wanted them to do, stopping the stuff going down the drains that shouldn't. Easy to use, easy to clean, reasonably priced. It's so nice when a product does exactly what it's supposed to do!

Excellent drain strainers for tub
These work great and are a good value too. We use them on all our tub drains when showering, and we've had most of them for many years without issue. They stay in place well because of the rubber, are easy to clean, and haven't developed mold around the rubber parts. In one location, we use one of OXO's larger models of the same thing, and this one sometimes inverts when stepped on (since the drain is in the center of the shower stall), but it easily pops back into place, and the flexing has not caused any problems. Excellent product.

Blocks hair.
My girlfriend and I both have long hair and this also train cover does a really good job of blocking that hair going down the drain which is always good for our septic. It was the same price as home goods so if you're looking for it same day just pick one up for home goods for three and a half dollars.

WORKS great
I have purchased two of these, and I use them in the bathroom sink to keep hair from going down the drain and creating a nasty clog. I put one in the master and one in the teen girl bathroom. I just sets right down and works. It looks like it belongs and is part of the sink, but works to catch at least some, if not all, of the hair. Great value for the cost. It does sit very shallowly, so if you have a drain stopper that is taller, it may not work. This would definitely NOT work in my bathtub!

Stops hair and works great in an apt tub drain
I believe my tub drain is about 2 inches wide at my place and is sunken down just a little bit. I've been using this for 3 months now and this drain protector stops all of my hair and my girlfriend's hair from clogging the drain. Cleaning it is super easy and it hasn't really moved anywhere even when the tub spout is on maximum output since there's a silicone ring around it. This was exactly what I was looking for to stop hair from getting clogged. Wish it was cheaper though.

Works perfectly
My tub has a weird finish so suction cup drain things like the cute silicone starfish I was trying to use won't stick. This thing works perfectly: fits the drain, doesn't slide around, and keeps my hair from clogging the drain pipe. Definitely recommend.

Great product
Great product. Really easy to keep clean and removed. It isn’t suction but that makes it easier to remove and keeps my drains hair free! Looks nice and good quality too. No rust appearing at all.

Works great. Buy if your drain diameter is smaller than typical drains like me
Does the job for me! I had to get this because my shower drain was smaller than most industrial drains so other products were too big. Catches the hair and stays in place most of the time. It moves when the water pressure is too strong but with the shower head, the rubber around the edge keeps it in place and catches hair effectively. With a lot of hair caught, the water drainage slows down (obviously) so I do lift the hair off once during a shower when I notice the slowing down of water drainage but this is honestly not a big deal for me. I like that it’s easy to clean too.

Glad I bought this - I wasn’t sure about spending money on it
This bathtub drain protector really does the job well. I have been using it for almost three months. When I first received it I couldn’t believe I spent the money I did for it - it is very simple and not a whole lot to it except some stainless steel and silicone. I was really surprised when I put it over the drain, it actually looks good and does the job of keeping all the hair from going down the drain. It very easily collects all the hair on top of it while letting all the water pass through to the drain with ease. After your shower is done all you have to do is pick up the hair that is sitting on top of it and throw the hair away. It is also very easy to pick up (lightweight and thin-see picture) and move the drain protector if you need to do so, but it also stays in place well while shower is in use. Great design. So glad I spent the money on this - I won’t have to deal with any more clogged drains in the future! This is my first review, I was so impressed by the OXO Good Grips Bathtub Drain Protector - I hope this helps you.

Does the job - bit expensive
I decided to buy this drain protector over cheaper ones due to the good reviews, and I'm sick of the gross task of clearing hair out a drain! I bought the bath one. My set-up is to shower whilst standing in a bath tub. After using it a few times now, and being someone who sheds an awful lot of hair - I have to say it does it's job perfectly. It fits the bathtub drain very well, and as advertised catches all the hair during a shower. The suction on it is very good, in fact, I am impressed that it still stays down, tightly sealed even when the bathtub has filled up with a few inches of water. I have checked under the cover to see how effective it's been - and it's caught every hair so far, not a single one escaped down the drain - Despite the protector being covered in hair. It is a small, simple product and so I do believe it's slightly expensive for what it is. Downgrade to 4 stars edit: After two months usage whilst showering it's become apparent that the drain guard does indeed stay down while using but I've noticed that's only because the guard slows down the amount of water that can fit down the drain, so your bathtub fills with an inch or two of water around the drain, this weight from the water keeps the drain cover in place. That's fine and it still works very well. However contrary to my original review, it's become apparent there is no actual "suction" from the device. It does not "stick" to the bath. It only stays in place due to the water weight on top. All it takes is one gentle kick or touch, and it will move. It is still a good product, but keep your eye on the cover, as it can move about very easily if you stand over the drain when showering! I have knocked off 1 star in the rating due to the cost, combined with the fact that it is flimsier to stay in place than previous thought.

Hugely satisfied with it!
It fits the bathtub well and captures all the hair. Furthermore, it’s very easy to be cleaned up.
