Great for my curly hair

Contrary to the negative reviews I read here, this is the best shampoo I have ever used. I was waking up every morning looking like Don King but since using this shampoo I can go two or three days between shampoos and my hair is still curly and super soft. I will never buy another brand.

Game changer

I have thick, dark, curly Russian Jewish hair. At least it WAS curly, but something happened where it became limp, not quite straight. One of my friends also of Russian Jewish descent recommended the Ouidad products for me as she said they were really great for quenching hair and that it would probably help my scalp since I get a significant amount of dandruff and sometimes like crusty nasty stuff. I'm pairing the shampoo/leave in conditioner together so I'm not sure whether it's one versus the other that's working more or both in combination, but my hair is starting to regain its natural curls. They're not like they used to be, but I suspect it might take awhile rather than an overnight process. Very happy.

Won’t buy again

The shampoo I used for years has been unavailable in my local stores & while I ordered it (Curls Rock) online previously, the price has become prohibitive. I have thick, naturally curly hair so did some research on recommended shampoo for my hair type & this was rated well in several different sources. I find it takes a lot of the product to get a decent lather to feel like I’m thoroughly washing my hair & my hair feels very dry & almost straw like after using this shampoo a 2-3 times a week. I’ve since found L’Oréals Ever Curl to work better for me, so I’ve only been using the Ouidad shampoo once a week just to use it up. I won’t buy it again.

I never write reviews but have to comment on this WONDERFUL SULFATE free shampoo by Ouidad. Worked on my sensitive scalp

I have used KMS Curl Up for years until they discontinued it - WHY! WHY! WHY! So I tried another KMS product and was underwhelmed so researched products and found this. I have used it Ouidad Advanced blah blah for some some 3 or more weeks, not every day. I have not had any issues with scalp irritation and I like the scent. it's not overpowering. KMS may have lost a customer, we will see. I would buy this shampoo again.

I was wrong...

I had originally said 2 stars and that it didn't help my hair. I realized my hair was damaged. I've been using a restoring shampoo and intermixing the OUIDAD every other time, my curls have more definition and bend to them like I haven't seen since I was a kid. I will be repurchasing this shampoo, I didn't realize my hair could go from frizzed out waves to actual curls that maintain for days. I admit when I'm wrong, and this is one of those times.
