Perfect for equine eventing on a budget!!
I purchased this watch mainly because I didn't want to buy an optimal time eventing watch. For the levels that I compete in, this watch is perfect!! It has three pre-set timers, CS (count down & stop), CC (count down & then count up over time), and CR (count down & repeat). I use the CC feature for xc and it's perfect to let me know how close, or over, optimal time I am on my xc run. The numbers are large and easy to read even traversing uneven terrain and jumps on course, the wrist band is elastic making for a perfect fit, and an easy slide-on, the face can swivel in the holder so once you put the bracelet on and mount up, you can move the face so that it's angled perfectly for you to quickly glance down and see how you're doing on time. The only thing this watch doesn't have vs the more expensive optimal time watches is a minute beep but again, for the mini trials that I compete in, this isn't that big of a deal, especially for the considerable difference in price! It also comes with a lanyard necklace and a clipboard clip since it's designed for use by coaches and referees. The stop watch feature works nicely too, and has a lap and split times feature if you'd ever have need to time multiple runs.

Easy to read but quit working...
I got this for scentwork trials so I could easily glance down and check my time. Comfortable to wear on my forearm and large enough to easily read. However, quit working after a period of non use. A friend got it going again (no idea what she did) but now, not working again after not being used for a bit.

Watch Worked Better with a New Battery
Not sure how long the battery sat in this watch before I got it. I thought the watch was broken but could not return it as it was beyond 30 days before I started using it. Once I replaced the battery that was inside the watch when I received it, the watch worked reliably. Not easy to open the watch for this, so be patient. Glad to have options to wear it on my wrist, on a lanyard or belt clip.

My husband loves it
My husband does football on the side and this came in hand for him! He came home saying how easy it was to use and how he was able to keep up with everything because of this watch. Great buy.

Great Timing watch
I use this for refereeing soccer games. The watch has a good size and is very easy to read. Set up was rather easy as well. The only downside as others have mentioned is that the watch is not water resistant. I am not even trying this watch in a light rain.

Great watch for runners who need to time their own speed workouts
As a 400m/800m runner, a Garmin-type device would be overkill. I know exactly how far I'm running because the track is marked, and who cares what your heartrate is while doing 150m at 95% effort? Just tell me how fast I ran. The wristband makes it perfect for checking 100m, 200m, etc., splits during track workouts; all I have to do is glance at my left wrist. It's much easier than holding a traditional watch-on-a-lanyard type in your hand and allows for proper hand positioning. And sooner or later, you're going to drop that standard stopwatch (or your cell phone, if you're one of those guys). Only issue is that twice the watch flew out of the case on the band and went bouncing down the track while I was sprinting all out with the requisite arm pumping. A couple pieces of double sided tape solved that issue.

Great Value and Great Quality for the Money!
I've bought four of these over the years and have had great luck with all of them. They are NOT designed for use in saltwater, but that's where I use them, to manage sailboat races. Big digits that I can see at a glance and to get 2-4 years out of one in saltwater conditions is fantastic. There are watches like this designed for sailing, but the seconds digits are too small on those, but not this one. Its a watch, stopwatch and also has three countdown functions; countdown and stop, countdown and repeat or countdown, then count-up. I'm ordering my fifth one now and for basically $20 bucks I know I'm getting a good deal. UPDATE 10/24/15: Just received #6 and a little disappointed. The clock/timer itself is fine, but the holder it clips into is loose. These clocks get strapped to power boats for running sailboat races. With the sloppiness in this new one, the clock tends to spin around in the holder. Not a major issue and easy to fix, but I shouldn't have to.

Great watch!!!
This is a great watch!! I use it during football games as the on-field clock. If you are a football referee and need to keep time this is a great piece of equipment.

Excellent Competition large face watch
Good large face competition watch, easy to read, and price is half the price of other watches which do the same things, count down is great.

Eventing watch on a budget
We are Eventing organizers, riders, and coaches. This watch is great for fitness training and competing XC, our officials use it to time at competitions in a pinch. We even featured it in our Explore Eventing: Ride on Time tutorial for new eventers learning to go XC without time faults. Highly recommend! It gets the job done, looks the part, and is 1/4 the price of the leader “eventer” watch.

Poor quality
Purchased this for cross country horse events. Used it 6 times last summer, this season starts and it won’t work. Changed battery and it still won’t turn on. Not worth trying to save money and purchasing this timer.

Not good.Cheaply made.
I bought this stop watch to use with my horse. It looked like what I wanted and more but first thing was the battery compartment was very hard to get open and when I did finally get it opened if all flew apart and after about 10 min.trying to get it to work I saw a spring on the floor.Still couldn't get it to work. Decided to send it back. Why can't they make one that is made better .I would be glad to pay more for it if they did.
