easy to install but….

This one is easy to install but it requires a lot of screws and it doesn't look very nice when you hang it up and see the screws all around

Luxury? No. Practical? Yes.

I purchased this to optimize space in a small coat closet. The material is pressed wood laminate that comes together with an allen wrench - so basically, your standard Walmart-grade piece. But that is ok for spaces that nobody will see (or if you just don't care, frankly.) The space I was accommodating had a small footprint, and this is an efficient vertical storage solution. The cubby spaces fit standard-sized fabric storage cubes which is what I used. This was simple to put together but it is handy to have another person to help you. I saw hardware was included to stack multiple units, but I didn't need it. It also comes with anchoring hardware if you need to secure it to a wall, which is useful if you have small children or pets.

The pegs were too long.

I pushed them in as far as they would go but when I put the side panels on they hey broke through the panel. Looks tacky but I didn’t want to disassemble it to send it back.

You get what you paid for

This is a good product for what it was priced at. It does the job and was easy to build. It is cheap quality and came in with a lot of chipped paint and stains.

Hefty Chunk of Cubes

I was pleasantly surprised at the density of the pressed wood in this cube set. The use of dowels to connect the shelves as well as screws adds both ease of alignment and extra stability. You can't rush the build - take your time, make sure you have it in a stable location, and be reasonably gentle. I've read other reviews where the dowels broke but if you don't try to do too much at once then they'll be fine. As always be careful with nailing on the backboard. I got too close to the edge and caused a bump that can't be fixed. The fabric cube drawers from the dollar store fit perfectly into the openings.

great for storing detergent

Bought this to fit in the small space between my washer and the wall. I had no shelf to keep my laundry items, so this worked perfectly. Enough space for big bottle of detergent, fabric softener, bleach and laundry sanitizer. Very happy with it.

Easy to put together!

This was super easy to put together. I had it sitting for a while because I didn't want to deal with assembly but it took like 30min, and that time was just spent screwing in the screws, super self explanatory. Make sure the finished vs unfinished sides are facing the same way! Made that mistake at first. Also, be careful on the last step of putting the nails in the back panel...I did one too close to the inside and it chipped a bit on the visible finished part of the inside of the box. Not a big deal, just make sure to nail it close to outer edges! Otherwise, it's perfect for what I need it for. The shelves themselves are super sturdy but the back panel not so much. It's smaller than I anticipated...was going to put it horizontally at the end of my bed but I think I may actually get a second one to stack on top so it will be 6 (3 boxes wide + 2 boxes high) because that will be perfect for my bed. Or, I may stand it up as a "bookcase". Will decide, but good purchase.

Great but....

This little organizer is cute et easy to assemble, but when you pay 59 $ and you see the same one at Giant Tiger for 25$ its frustrating!! Saw it too late, was already assembled. Ah well. Next time I will look elsewhere before I buy here just to make sure.

its a so so product

The finishing coat of white was just a hasty paint job and the wood is cracked in a few places. these are the major drawbacks otherwise the product usability is alright.

Whitmor Bookshelf - Perfect for my needs

I love this little bookshelf. I wanted one for my desk surface and it fits perfectly atop my desk, to hold my pens, pencils, erasers, felt markers, scissors, agenda, post-it notes, etc., as well as a few folders I look at daily. My desk is basically clutter free now that I have this little bookshelf. I have not attached it to the wall like they suggest because it will not be moved now that it's in place and it is sturdy as it sits there. It would be a good one for a little kid's room. I'm very pleased with this purchase, it took quite some searching online but I finally found it. Perfect dimensions for my needs, not big like all the others. So very happy I found it. Anything bigger would have been too clunky on my desk and taken up too much room on it. I highly recommend this.
