Great product, odd assortment

The product itself is great - it's really easy to hang picture hooks (or in my case, bulletin board hooks) right where you want them with minimal collateral damage to the wall. The kid-safe feature is nice too, making sure that the items I hang that have loops on the back won't come off the wall unintentionally. My only quibble (enough to remove a star) is that the assortment of hooks is odd. I don't need a bunch of extra nails without hooks, and I probably won't ever use the 5/10lb hooks (as directed by Ook themselves on their website, I use a hook with "a weight rating that greatly exceeds the object to be hung").

Great Value for the Money

OOK hooks are generally pretty good and get the job done. This set is a little different from most because it has the child proofing. What I found interesting was the fact that even though they have the extra piece in them to prevent pictures from being easily removed from the walls, this set was priced at about half of what the normal OOK sets cost. At that price, its a no-brainer, or even at the same price as the regular OOK sets. Even if you don't need the extra piece for kids, this works like a hook and has actually prevented people from knocking pictures off the wall by brushing up against them or while cleaning. A fine purchase at any price less than or equal to the regular hooks.

Good but slightly misleading

I love ook tremor hangers, as I live in SoCal. Never been through a big earthquake, so hoping they hold, but we've got lots of photos and artwork secured with them. Would have given this 5 stars but... see how it's called a Tremor Pack? That means all the items are designed to withstand tremors, right? Apparently not. All the items are tremor hooks EXCEPT for the lone 50-pound hook. That's a normal one without the latch that makes it work in an earthquake zone. HUNH? The 25 pounders, the 75 pounder... all set for earthquakes. But the middle of the road 50? Just a freakin' hook. Really made me mad, as that's the one I needed when I first opened the package. Also, packaging is awful. Hard plastic you have to cut open, and once you do there's no way to store the individual components in the original packaging. Those fixes would have given this 5 stars. As it is, all they're getting are 4. PS - some of the little hangers are also straight hooks. Forgot to mention. They should ALL be quake safe in this pack.

Secure hooks=peace of mind

Great hangers if you want secure attachment to the wall ... i used them to attach some headboards to the wall. These are hard to find locally in New England.

Good product, terrible packaging

5 stars for the product, 1 star for the packaging. Stupid thing has to be cut open, leaves sharp edges, and then there's no good way to save the rest of the parts for future needs.

Not All of them are hooks with a latch but I love them in the California quake zone .

I love the Hillman 50938 Kid Safe Picture Wall hooks ,buy Not All of them are Kid Safe hooks with latch Kidsafe, Tremor and Earthquake Safe. Some have no latching mechanism.Other than that they work very very well.I love them .Here in the California quake zone .

Great quality, got the job done. Should have two of everything, though.

Great set overall, but there should be two of everything in my opinion. A single type of hanger/hook doesn't make sense sometimes for heavy things for which you'd like to use two... I ordered two of these just for that reason (so everything would be doubled). But maybe that's part of their plan...haha. Well played...

NOT as advertised!!

The picture on the package says “Will hang over 17 works of art”, but there’s only 12 hangers in the package and only seven of them have the advertised safety catch. And “34 piece" ?? there’s 12 hooks, 20 nails, and I guess the 34 includes the plastic wrapper and the instruction leaflet too!
