Still very good, but not quite as heavy as they used to be

My wife and I were given 12 place settings of this pattern 26 years ago for our wedding, and they've been the only place settings we've used since. We've always loved the quality of the pieces, the finish, the durability, the heft, etc. Recently we realized that several salad forks seemed to be missing, probably thrown away by accident (we've raised 3 kids during that time too). So I ordered replacements here. By the way, Finest Flatware was the seller and they shipped FAST and the forks arrived in perfect condition. Everything about these replacements is up to my expectations, but I did notice that the forks are just a bit thinner and therefore lighter and less substantial in the hand than our originals. The fit & finish is still outstanding and we intend to keep them, but Oneida clearly went to a thinner blank somewhere along the line. If you aren't comparing these to 2-decade-old Juilliard, you won't know the difference.

Thinner than the originals. I called Oneida to confirm these aren't counterfeits as some pieces are made in China and some in Indonesia, and the labels and logos are different. They confirmed that my descriptions matched genuine production models. I'm keeping them since I can't really match the 20-year-old originals otherwise.

Now made in Viet Nam

Sadly, Oneida no longer manufactures in the US. It's upsetting to me that this, "once leader" in premium US made stainless flatware, is now being made in Viet Nam. In principle, have a problem with all companies that turns their backs on American labor.

Juilliard is the BEST pattern flatware ever

Juilliard is the BEST flatware pattern ever! A timeless look and the quality in these pieces are remarkable. It's very difficult to find this level of beauty and style in stainless but Oneida has accomplished that with this pattern. My 20 year old pieces look as good as the new ones I add as needed!

Purchased as replacements for missing forks

This was my wedding pattern chosen 23 years ago and over the years some forks went missing - probably thrown out accidentally or eaten by the garbage disposal. The new ones are so shiny and smooth and fit well in the hand.
