Good replacement

Slightly wider than the original 1970s issue, but still a quality replacement.

OK, but not exact.

After a recent garbage disposal incident, I googled around to find a replacement teaspoon. Sadly, the Oneida website does not sell replacement teaspoons. Thus, I turned to Amazon. After reading the glowing reviews indicating that these are the same Paul Revere that have been in various silverware drawers for decades, I purchased seven. I was replacing the few that had been gnawed up over the years and also giving us one or two extras because we always seem to run out of spoons first. First, the good news: these replacement spoons are the same weight and feel as the original. The edges are smooth and the handle not at all flimsy. These replacements seem to be the same quality as the decades-old Paul Revere spoons you may be trying to replace. If you only looked at the new spoons rather than a side by side comparison with the old spoons, you may not even notice the slight differences. However, they are not the exact shape. The bowl of the new spoon is ever so slightly wider and thicker than the bowl of the original. The back is different, as well. The new one includes a logo on the bowl, "Vietnam zz 15" on the center of the handle, and "Paul Revere" on the large end of the handle. I've included two photos so you can see these differences. If it means a lot to you to have exact replacements, keep looking. I was disappointed, but not enough to send them back. They'll work for us and they will be a daily reminder to watch what goes down into that garbage disposal.

Classic stainless pattern

Paul Revere was my choice for everyday stainless 44 years ago when I got married. It's simplicity and classic lines have endured time, and still today it makes a beautiful place setting. Through the years it has been wonderful to be able to add additional pieces as needed. One can never have enough teaspoons, so am delighted that Amazon sells the pieces individually. It was no surprise that my son and his wife selected this same pattern for their home. It is timeless!

LONG TIME CLASSIC PAUL REVERE THE BEST !

Bought these teaspoons to add to our daughter and son in law's flatware set that they received when they got married 17 years ago. When a special occasion comes along it is always a classic and quality gift to add on to their classic set. The best part about it .... is that it is so classic and quality that we can continue to add to the set as it is still available. That tells you something ! Bobbie

This will be a very acceptable replacement for your old Paul Revere flatware. It is marked as made in Vietnam but I find it hard to believe that anyone will notice a difference in the size or the weight when compared with your original. It fits just fine as a replacement among our 1976 wedding present.

a little bit extraa

We seem to always be short teaspoons before a dishwasher cycle so I finally ordered extra. I love this pattern as it flatters any dinnerware.

Additional spoons

The teaspoons came more quickly than I expected and are in perfect condition. They fit very well with the whole set I've had for nearly 20 years.
