Works, but slid around on the desk

The Officemate 2-in-1 Heavy Duty Tape Dispenser works but there was one problem I needed to fix. Even though the dispenser is a hefty 40 ounces, it still slid around on the desk because the foam on the base didn't really provide any friction. I solved the problem by spending another $6 for a "dashboard anti-slip pad" (one of those things that makes it so you can put your phone on a car's dash): hxxps://www.amazon.com/dp/B09T36M3LB I cut a piece to size and glued it onto the bottom of the dispenser, and now it won't move unless I want it to. So the tape dispenser ended up being $16 instead of $10. I have enough anti-slip pad left over in case I need a second tape dispenser.

FINALLY!!!

Finally a tape dispenser that doesn't move while you are trying to get a piece of tape! This is heavy duty and perfect- the double inner wheel for large and small roles confused me for a second but I figured it out pretty quickly.

Broken

I really like the sturdiness of these tape dispensers. I ordered 2, they were both cracked. Usable, but I paid for an unbroken product. I am returning both but requesting a replacement. Fingers crossed that the new ones are not broken. UPDATE: After reporting this, I asked to return and reorder. The reorder arrived yesterday (quick) and these are perfect. Thank you Amazon for your quick response and I'm changing my rating to 5 stars!!! Thanks so much.

It is not one hand user friendly

I bought this hoping I could use it with one hand but its not heavy enough. I still have to use two hands.

Moves and difficult to use with one hand

The weight is not significant enough to stay put when removing tape from the dispenser. The bottom is not composed of non slip rubber pad. It moves. I can finagle a few pieces but would not buy again. Disappointed.

Perfect fit

I hoped that this taped dispenser would work for my heat transfer/sublimation tape as it’s a bigger size roll. Sure enough it was a perfect fit! I love it and am very happy I purchased it. Definitely recommend!

great tape dispenser :)

Nice product, should be able to use it one handed for most tapes, I have a roll of brand name dark blue painters masking tape which is very tough to tear manually and does not come off the roll easily, have to hold the dispenser while pulling the tape, my other light blue colour, brand name painters masking tape however easily dispenses one handed. we use 2 of these dispensers in our restaurant to "date" label food containers. The light blue tape also sticks better to plastic:)

Nice and sturdy.

I was happy to find this folder on my 1 inch wide surgical tape. Nice big size. Reasonable weight. To make it completely one hand friendly (not using a secondhand to stabilize), I put double-sided sticky tape on the bottom to affix it to the particular desktop where I want to use it. Now it does not slide around at all.

Rough start but it was made right

Received with broken bottom upon arrival.Put through a request to have replaced and replacement is perfect. Giving 5 stars because amazon stepped up and sent replacement quickly and without hassle. Super excited to use this for my heat tape. It is very heavy and fits tape well.

Not well made

The first one I received was completely broken. The base fell off entirely, and the front was shattered. I returned it for a replacement, which was shipped very quickly, but it also came damaged. The second one was not nearly damaged to the degree of the first- only a crack on a corner that I’ve covered with gorilla tape. I’ve kept this one, but with my own experience, as well as the many reviews left on this item, I can not in good conscience recommend it.
