This switch almost cost me $3,000

My old John Deere LX255 refused to start (no motor action whatsoever when key turned). This started after winterizing it and activating the PTO switch. I suspected the switch and went to Youtube to test the old switch. The old switch tested as follows: plunger pushed in - continuity outside poles on sets of 3, plunger pulled out - continuity on one of the outside and middle poles on sets of 3. Note - the set of two never had continuity. The new switch tested the same way and also didn't work. Got ready to buy a new tractor...looking in the 3-4K range, ouch! Talking to friend who, by chance, had an extra new PTO switch. He tested it - continuity on the set of 2 when the plunger was pulled out. Tractor now works! Summary - Plunger pushed in - continuity on outside of the 3 prong sets. Plunger pulled out - continuity on one of the outside and middle of the 3 prong sets AND continuity on the 2 prong set. This switch came broken and nearly cost me big. Happy troubleshooting!

Cheap Chinese crap

This product is garbage you have to hold the PTO switch up for it to stay engaged U-Pull-It the blades come on it engages you let go and they disconnect we'll probably never purchase another item from this company
