Helped me have no stretch marks in pregnancy
Someone had recommended this in Reddit as an alternative to expensive oils to prevent stretch marks. It’s strong, gooey, sticky but now did it work! I would apply it and wait out 15 min before wearing a top so that it wouldn’t stick to the top ( or wear an old shirt that I did not mind getting greasy stains on). Post the sticky 15 min period, it kept my skin soft and moisturised all day which I think prevented stretch marks ( and a lot of water I kept drinking)

Nice shea butter!
This worked great in my homemade body butter recipe with raw cocoa butter and carrier oils. Yes, alone in the container it is grainy and has a slight natural scent (but it's NOT a spoiled odor). If you follow a recipe to temper it, rapidly cool in freezer, then whip up, it's perfect! Shea butter gets grainy when it melts and slowly thickens. Could be where it's stored or occur easily during shipping...like in the Texas heat. I will definitely buy again!!!! NOW Solutions has some great products and pricing is fair. ????

Great emollient for hands and feet.
No scent. One must warm butter in hands to ‘melt’ it. A little goes a long way.

Velvety lotion
It's a velvety lotion that I can use everywhere, is safe, and fragrance-free. Very happy. Price is also a good value.

Mild scent, very moisturizing
The reviews about high granularity are true - I got 2 jars and both had some level of granules of shea. However, this did not present problems for making body butter after melting the shea in a double boiler and allowing it to fully cool in the fridge before whipping it with the rest of the ingredients (cocoa butter, apricot kernel oil, corn starch, etc.). The shea was completely smooth after it came back to room temp. This makes it quite cheap for a luxurious and natural body butter, I don't think I'll ever go back to store-bought lotion. The key is not adding ingredients with water to the butter, since that is a breeding ground for bacteria and would require preservatives. However, body butter has no water and so lasts a long time; it lasts longer also if you add some vitamin E oil. The second key is adding oils that absorb quickly (not coconut oil!) and perhaps a starch like cornstarch or arrowroot powder - this gives the butter a much more matte appearance on the skin, instead of the really greasy DIY look. Also, it has almost no scent. Apparently shea usually has a strong and somewhat unpleasant scent, so this probably means it was refined to an extent and not as potent as other brands, but this is one of the only organic brands I found, so I decided to stick to it. Ultimately I did not have to scent my body butter with (expensive) essential oils because they had a very faint cocoa smell from the cocoa butter. Next I'd like to make DIY eye cream with shea, glycerin, vitamin E oil, and rosehip or seabuckthorn oil... UPDATE: the price went up by more than $2 since Dec 2021 for the 7oz jar, too bad.

Small jar
The jar is smaller than the photo. This was ordered in a hurry so I failed to see the amount. This looks like a sample size.
