Norpro Shaker

Arrived on time. Used it this morning after washing it. Worked great with my coarse dry rub, exactly what I was looking for in a Shaker. I like the glass and adjustable top. I now wish it had a sealable lid but I knew it didn't when I ordered it, so no fault. If you use coarse rubs this is worth it! It will also work with finer grinds as well.

I love this container and the fact that you can completely ...

I filled my container with a combination of spices to put in my morning coffee. I love this container and the fact that you can completely close the top to keep the spices fresh, but somehow the spices find their way around the top of the rim. It isn't that big of a deal. I just tap the container on the sink to remove them and I wipe away the excess, but I lose quite a bit of spices and I have spices left on my countertop that I am constantly wiping away. I tried tightening the lid but that didn't work. I think it might work better for sugar, salt and pepper or something that isn't as "powdery as spices. I do have the smaller ones for salt and pep[per and I love them. I don't have the same problem with them. Therefore, I think it is what you put in the container that makes the difference on whether it will "leak" or not.

Kind of lumpy cheese!

For some reason after we put the grated Locatelli cheese in to the holder it got lumpy. not sure if from refrigerator or?? We have to shake it hard to get rid of some of the lumps. any ideas out there to prevent the lumps?

Great for nutritional yeast

I came back to order another one of these (this time for red pepper flakes) so I figured I'd write a review. It's perfect for any spice/seasoning that you use in large quantities and/or that is larger in size and gets stuck in the holes of a standard spice jar. I like that you can adjust the size of the holes but I only use the largest option, and then close it for freshness. The jars are very sturdy and well made.

These are Amazing!!

These shakers are my very favorite shakers ever!!! They got here quickly and they are perfect for our family. They are a little pricey but well worth every penny. They have three different size selections (or use them in between size selections) which is great for me. We love sea salt and pepper. I use the Restaurant style pepper which is courser than fine pepper and I use a courser sea salt for everything. The three sizes make it very nice for us. We are big salt and pepper people so the fact that I don't have to fill every few days is great! They are BIG. I haven't measured them but they look like they are easily one cup. I love that about them. My children that come home for visits love them too. I might get them for everyone for Christmas. I wish I had ten sets!!! I measured.....I was right, they are exactly one cup. That's a lot of salt and pepper. They are too big for small hands but they are great for the rest of us!!!!
