Great Performance at a Reasonable Price
I've been running this filter for a little over two months now, and today I pulled it to check the performance. I was pleased to find a nice even coating of dust over all the fins, indicating that the flow is consistent over the entire surface area of the filter material. In addition there is a nice, strong airflow coming out of all the room vents. I live in Southern California's Inland Empire where temperatures routinely run in the high ninety's. The A/C system runs a lot, and this filter has kept my Lennox central air system in perfect working order. It seems to keep the dust in the house to a minimum, even though I live right next to a freeway that kicks up dust into the air all day long. I paid less than $30.00 for this filter, which I consider a really good price for a MERV 12 filter. I am so pleased with it that I purchased a replacement filter to keep on hand. Nordic Pure 16x25x5 Honeywell Replacement AC Furnace Air Filters MERV 12, Box of 1 10/8/2018: UPDATE: I've been using this filter for about 3 years now. My A/C company just did the winter maintenance on my system, and they said that it's SPOTLESS. Great product! I have a new one installed in my A/C unit twice a year.

Great filter for the money
I liked the filter, but mine must have been made on a Friday afternoon, some rows of pleats on one side are not lined up well. Will this effect the filter? I doubt it, but all the pleats should be even and we'll spaced.

Not actually 16x25x5!
I've used MERV 12 filters in the past and they've always worked great as far as I can tell. I judge this by the lack of dust that accumulates around the house. I gave this a 3 star review not because it lacked quality in any way, but simply because I'm annoyed by an industry standard that would allow filters of different dimensions to be labeled EXACTLY the same! So, before purchasing, be sure to double check the physical dimensions of the filter you're replacing! You can see from the picture I added, the physical dimensions of the Nordic Pure (the bottom filter). Compare that to the filter that came out of my system and you can see that mine is not the same size. Its (top filter) physical dimensions are 5.25 x 15.5 x 25.5 inches. My system has some margin for different filter dimensions, but this Nordic Pure would not fit, standing on edge it was too tall by a quarter inch. Again, not the fault of the filter just a crappy manufacturing standard that all filter producers' should take a hit for until they come up with a naming convention that assigns one name to one filter size!

Breath better live better
We have been using these filters for over 3 years. We install new filter in every month and can immediately breath better. The benefit of having a supply hand endures continued better breathing, which is beneficial to life.
