Work so well
These are great for places where you might use a zip-tie but want a permanent or long-term fastening. I use them to attach strobe lights to my backpack and jacket (for when I'm walking at night), and to coil up extra length in charging cords. They work great.

Better than single use zip-ties for bicycles
If your a bicyclist and need to attach stuff to your cargo rack like crates for example, these gear-ties are a great alternative to single use zip-ties. I use 4 of these 6 inch gear-ties to hold my BigAnt collapsible milk crate down to my bikes' cargo rack. They've handled everything ive thown at it without loosing it grip in the nearly 4 months ive been using them. 20lbs of cargo on bumpy roads and even taken a spill, those events haven't separate the crate from the rack with these gear-ties (didnt get hurt, just my stupid footing did not keep balanced when i stopped the bike). Best part of these gear ties, because they're reusable, i can untwist the gear ties and take the crate off the cargo rack unlike single use zip-ties. Great for when I dont need crate for a ride or even better, when the crate is full of stuff, i can take the crate off and take everything in one go. No need to take individual items out of it when its most likely going to the same place (groceries to the kitchen for example). All i can say is, I've been happy with my purchase of these gears ties.

Works well
I bought this product to attach my tourniquet to my radio pouch to ditch the bulky tourniquet holder. Works as I planned and the tourniquet is able to break away easily. Occasionally a seatbelt or scuffle will cause it to get a little loose and I have to press the ends back down. Ultimately this will be the biggest test, how long before the tips lose their rigidity. So far solid product.

Wrap your Cords!
Gear Tie Reusable Rubber Twist Ties from Nite Ize are perfect for temporarily wrapping up cords of appliances, computer equipment, or electronics (eg, headphones). And I do mean PERFECT! The flexibility is just right (flexible but firm) and the rubber coating is excellent... and there are some nice colors too. I use them for tying up cords for my iPod headphones, rice maker, steam iron, computer cables, and about 100 other annoying electric cords found around the house. This is wonderful because the cords become neat little bundles that can easily be untied and used, and then tied up again, with ease. Cords of counter- and desk- top appliances no longer have cords hanging around. Headphone cables no longer become a tangled mess. Look around, I'll bet you can count 50 cords that could be tied up. I say these ties are for temporary use because they are designed to be tied and untied, a million times or so. If you want to permanently tie your cords it's probably better, and surely cheaper, to use good old cable ties (sometimes called zip ties). How about length? The 3 inch version is perfect for wrapping up iPod headphone or other VERY small cables. You'll be surprised how big (ie, circumference) a bundled cord can be so be careful with the 3 inch. This 6 inch version is just right for wrapping cords of coffee makers, lamps, and perhaps thinner vacuums and so forth. There's an 18 inch version that I've used in the garage for thick extension cords, cords from circular saws, and so forth. I suppose the downsize is the cost. They are not dirt cheap. But for me the cost is dwarfed by the benefit. I'm just so mad I didn't "invent" these!

My New Go-To Solution for (FILL IN THE BLANK)!
Recently, I was at a store and saw packages of Gear Ties hanging from the shelf. I played with it a bit and instantly realized the sheer genius of it and how I'd easily find a "1001" uses for it. So I checked it out an Amazon and, of course, it was less expensive (as an add-on). Shipping was super fast and I was able to start using them right away. Here's what makes these Gear Ties great: ✓ It allows you build fasteners that you wish were built into things around your house. An example was that I was able to hook my headphones onto a digital piano using these. ✓ Less ugly than those clip binders I used for the same purposes. ✓ Just the right degree of stiffness so that you can mold to any shape you want. ✓ Does not harm or scratch your furniture (like clip binders do) The only problem? I wish they were more commoditized and therefore less expensive than they are. But other than that, these are great find. Let me put things in perspective: A couple years ago, I read in Lifehacker about the myriad of ways you can use clip binders. And, in fact, they were my "go-to" solution any time I needed to fashion way to fasten or hook something. Gear Ties are my new "go-to" solution.

Works for nose piece in face mask
As a nurse I know that if your glasses are fogging you you don’t have a good seal on your mask. With the Olson mask I sewed a straight line and tucked the 6” gear tie in. It doesn’t move and provides a better deal than some of my surgical masks. I couldn’t fog up my glasses trying and that was without putting a filter in my mask. It’s easily removable and can be cleaned with fish soap and water or a sanitizer wipe while your mask is in the washer. In these strange COVID times you find what works and this works much better than a paper clip, pipe cleaner or other wire I’ve tried.

Easiest cord organizer
These are excellent for cord storage or even to organize while using your cords. I've tried several different types of cord organizers from other brands and I definitely like these the best by far. Reason being the ease of use. I also use velcro organizers but these are just so fast and simple to use, Ill grab these first. Just fold up the cord, grab one, and wrap around. They're extremely sturdy so they will have a very tight hold. Plus with different colors it's easier to recognize which cords for what (as long as you remember yourself). Ultimately, I try to wait for a good deal and buy several... but regardless if your ocd is in high gear, these are definitely worth buying.
