Used for door trim
Believe it or not, I used this to install trim around a pocket door. Why? Well, some day, I might need to replace the door itself...and do you know how hard it is to replace a pocket door? You have to take off 11 different pieces of trim...and since I didn't want to have to pull out nails, I decided to try this. It has worked VERY well. The only place it wasn't 100% perfect was where my drywall wasn't 100% flat. A couple days after I installed it, I noticed that I had forgotten to paint the end of the trim. I was able to remove it, paint, and stick it back up. Sweet!!!!

Please note word "THIN" in Description
You can never go wrong with authentic Velcro manufactured products. They are always spot on with their descriptions and claims. I wanted this tape to use on wooden cupboard doors to keep them from partially opening. The overlap for the door and the jam is very narrow, so I thought this is the Velcro product that I needed. It DOES hold the door shut but the tape is so thin I do not know how long it will last. This is not a negative review. Just a "head's up" that the product is very thin and may or may not fit my intended need.

Had to hang something on a Park District's painted cinderblock wall...
...so it had to be something that didn't show up on the wall when I removed my vinyl banners. Method also had to be strong enough eot hold them, and easy enough to remove without damage to wall or artwork. Clear tape Velcro had just come out at the time— velcro is always making different varieties or adding rolls, strips, squares or circles, do I tried it. (Previously we had been using hooks and wire hund from the ceiling, and nothing ever hung at the right level, it was time consuming and ugly. Being able to hang them flat against the wall could work, that would be the best solution. Worked far better than I could have hoped for. Did a small test srip before adding it to the walls for 8 two foot wide, six foot long banners of a few pounds each. Because other organizations use the same room and do their own decorations, I bought a roll of it and did an entire strip across the wall down from the top at the most convenient level. That way anybody could use it at that height and not have to worry about placement. Gave the unused strip to the Park District for their future decorations. Since the entire top edge of the banners was one strip, it alway held securely and looked great. To remove the, just started at one edge and ran a letter opener across the top.

For light mounting Only
I have this on the wall for remote controls. It looks almost invisible from far away, while before, I had some thick black velcro on the white wall. It looked tacky. The remotec ontrols stick, but will knock off way easier than the thicker old black velcro. There is a huge difference with this thin velcro compared to the thicker kind as far as adhesion strength. Example: I think it takes 5 to 10 times the strength to pull the remote straight off with the thicker black type I have. So, there is no comparison between traditional thicker velcro strength and this one. The only question is if the value of the clear and thin properties outweighs the needs of adhesion strength. Because, it really looks good, almost invisible on white. I guess all I can report, is its strong enough for my remote controls as long as I don't brush by them, as they knock off easily.

This Tape Makes Me Want To Velcro Everything
AMAZING!!! This stuff is amazing. Oh velcro tape, where have you been all my life??? I didn't even know this stuff existed until a few weeks ago. A friend of mine recommended I use velcro tape to hang up some remotes on my wall to prevent them from getting lost. I thought that was a great idea but didn't get around to it until recently. I actually have 4 remotes in my bedroom and after hanging all of them up, I was addicted!!! I used it to hang mason jars filled with baking and cooking ingredients on my kitchen wall since I don't have a lot of cabinet space. It was an experiment to see how much weight this tape can hold since it didn't look that sturdy but this stuff holds up to 1-1/2 pound mason jars and the garbage chalky paint the landlord uses doesn't pose a problem with the adhesive on the back of the tape either. Going to use it to hang up pictures on my walls next. Beats the heck out of nails and sticky tacky to keep the frames in place and I don't have to worry about the landlord getting mad about all the holes in the wall.

Different than what I purchased before.
Let me preface this review by saying that I purchased the exact same product (but in white, not clear) from a local hardware store about 9 months ago. Either the clear version of this product is different than the white or the company has changed the quality of the velcro part, because the strength of the velcro on this product is horrible compared to what I purchased at a local store a while back. The negatives: the velcro part is very thin and doesn't have much to catch on. I was surprised about this, because the white version of this that I purchased at a local store was very impressive. The positives: The sticky back is actually pretty sticky. Not sure if I would use it on a wall or porous material, but I would be confident sticking it to any smooth clean surface. UPDATE: purchased the white version from amazon and its much higher quality and the velcro is stronger. There is definitely a difference between the white and clear versions.

Works well for light use
I bought this despite the reviews about how thin the fasteners are. For my use (home schooling activities), this works well because I don't need heavy duty hold. However, I could see how this would get frustrating for anyone who intends to use this to hang moderately heavy items or to attach something long term. That being said, the box does clearly state that these are "Thin" fasteners, and an entire 15 foot roll can ONLY hold up to 5 pounds. I think that should be enough information for anyone to gauge whether they should buy these or the regular fasteners, which are similarly priced. Know what you're buying, and you won't be disappointed.

Strong and well thought out velcro
Not sure why there are a few negative reviews... this velcro seems excellent so far. It has a very strong adhesive... be careful where to stick it, it won't come off! We used it to "pin up" 1' or 2' by 6' panels on a wall, using 4 pieces of 4" tape. The panels aren't going anywhere... they are stuck on solid. The picture I added shows the home theater we created and the panels are in between the pillars. By using velcro, they can come off when needed, but otherwise will stay on solidly! What we really like about this is that the "male" and "female" parts (if that is the proper term) are presented on one single tape background so that one can cut off exactly what is needed and both halves will always match. That means you only need to measure once. So far we haven't got a single negative thing to say about this tape, it is a lot cheaper than the industrial type but does the job splendidly. Five stars from us!

Very happy!
I use this to attach my canvas painting onto the shadow frame to avoid drilling screws. Easy to cut to exact size I want and it adheres well onto the wood and canvas.

Adhesion varies based on material
Used the Velcro to attach a plastic sheet to my woodworking space to block the sawdust from escaping. The plastic sticks to the wood find but ends up tearing away from the plastic sheet. I believe it is due to the combo of the adhesive not being sticky enough as well as the thickness/durable nature of the plastic sheet.

Works well, not cheap, but better value than individual pieces
Fifteen feet sounds like a lot, but it depends. Say you use two 4-inch pieces, on average for each job. Then you will get 20 jobs out of this roll. Well made, genuine brand name.
