Sticky & Expensive

This review is for the Perfect C Pro serum. I ordered it hoping to work it into my skincare routine once I start microneedling. As soon as it arrived I tried it out on the back of my hand. First impression - this stuff is watery. It squirts out with enough force that it could splash out and about, and if you put it on the back of your hand it will just drip off (unless you have flat hands and keep them flat). I figured that’s not the end of the world, maybe a watery serum is a good thing because a smaller amount of product might spread farther. Eh, it might, but it’s difficult to say for sure, because it doesn’t take long for this serum to dry - not absorb - on your skin, at which point it becomes VERY sticky. Like gross feeling sticky. Maybe I’m lucky, because I have never dealt with this in a skincare product before. I kind of left it for a bit hoping it would maybe just “keep drying” until it wasn’t sticky anymore, but nope. It just stays there, being sticky. I don’t even know what to compare it to… like if someone made sweet tea that was WAY too sweet - like fully saturated with sugar until it couldn’t dissolve anymore added sugar - and you used that liquid as a serum on your skin. Just imagine how that liquid would dry on your skin and that’s what you get with this. The smell is fine. It’s orangey. But I cannot get past how sticky this stuff is. I don’t know if other people using this are just cool with sticky skin or what. I wish I could review the actual effects this serum has on my skin, other than immediate affect it has on the texture. I hate that I bought this. I’m going to try to force myself to use it up because it was expensive, but I will curse the gods with every squirt of this stuff. And I **cannot wait** until the day comes when I can throw this in the trash and look for something better. In summary, if you like sticky skin, this product may be for you. If not, I’d look elsewhere.

Better packaging

I used this for a year. It had a tingling at first but as your skin gets used to it, that goes away. It still made my skin feel a little tight. The smell is not great but that is the nature of vitamin C and all products smell similar. It has always arrived a little brownish, never clear. Not sure if it That meant it was oxidized, but it did seem to work. I stopped my subscription when I received it and the top was a little loose. It didn’t fee the same so I think it had oxidized. It is not worth it to me to buy a product that the company doesn’t invest in by putting a little money into a wrap of some kind to ensure it doesn’t come loose or leak. It is too expensive to throw away! I switched to Timeless which is 20% and is clear in color. It arrived with good packaging, has an air pump to keep air tight, vitamin e, the good kind of vitamin c, and best of all, is half of the price. It was recommended by Angie from hot & flashy. I also now keep it in the fridge to preserve it as long as possible. Mychelle needs to invest in better packaging.

Holy Grail Serum. Honestly Impressed

I've suffered with acne for around 8 years and finally managed to clear up recently thanks to antibiotics and prescription retinol. I've tried other very expensive serums (Lancome, etc) and other vitamin C serums from various brands. I didn't see much of a difference on my skin at all; I thought vitamin C just wasn't for me. I have scarring and uneven skin. I decided to try a sample of MyChelle's 17% serum from the store I work at and I saw my skin overall look better in about 5 days. Less redness and oilyness. I decided to then buy the 25%. My skin is luminous and looks healthier now. I've only been using it a month! I've been getting compliments on my skin as opposed to before. Feels good to find a product that actually does what it claims. It has also been helping my dark circles under my eyes a bit but I don't put too much in that area because it's sensitive. I was using it twice a day but you shouldn't mix retinol and vitamin C because they contradict each other. It caused me to get a few breakouts. I only use this after my day routine now. Retinol at night. My skin is better now and radiant. I store this in the fridge along with my retinol. Like others have mentioned, the pump isn't great. I deducted a star due to this. Vitamin C is very frail, hence why I store in the fridge. I'm wondering if they could perhaps get a better dispenser while keeping the product effective. The pump gets hard sometimes but I've managed to get the appropriate dose so far. I definitely recommend giving this a shot if you can afford it and deal with redness, extra oil, and dull skin. I've never been happier with my skin and it's improving every week now.

Well packaged, bit disappointing product wise!

I heard great things about perfect C Serum, so I made sure to save for when I really needed a pick me up!! My skin has some sun damage and was going through a dull phase - firstly this container is far too small, especially since it's very expensive. Secondly, after day two my forehead got very red like I had put a chemical peel on it, and I've now very tiny bumps ie spots from this. It definitely works but not with the desired effect I was looking for. I'll update if there's any improvement after the 2 week period, I would advise to use sparingly and not on T zone areas. It's also very sticky consistency not like a serum at all and isn't pleasant on the skin. The smell is bad too. Not sure I'd recommend. Will wait out the two weeks.

Excellent product. I could see results in 2 weeks after a dermapen treatment:skin definitively looks tighter. Expensive. This is just 15 ml and by using it twice a day, it lasts about 2 weeks. Wish there are cheaper vitamin C serum with no phenoxyethanol in the market.
