Great dry suit for the price
I bought the O'Neil dry suit for sailing my Hobie cat on Lake Tahoe. It is still early in the season to try it out for sailing. The 1st day I received it I did take it into a lake for a test.(Late February) water temperature 40 degrees. I was comfortable but probably not longer than 20 minutes of being submerged. After my venture into the lake I removed the suit found moisture around the cuffs on my Levi's but all else was dry. I still need to trim the neck opening which I would imagine it would make it more comfortable. The only flaw I have found is not being able to zip up by myself. Which might solve with a little practice or the addition of a string to the zipper. That is the reason for 4 instead of a 5. The suit has lived up to all my expectation. I received my suit in 2 days I was very surprised on the quick delivery.

Works Great!
Very happy with this. Kept me warm when the water was 60 degrees and the air was 45 degrees.

getting the neck seal off over your head is not easy. If you stay calm and do it right
Seems to work very well. The drawback is the difficulty of getting this suit on and off. It's impossible to get the zipper closed or open without help. Also, getting the neck seal off over your head is not easy. If you stay calm and do it right, it's not a problem, but if you do it wrong you wind up with the neoprene sealing off your face so you cant see or breathe, which is panic-inducing. I actually injured my throat trying to yank this off over my head, to the point of considering going to the emergency room. I injured the soft tissue in my neck, and had difficulty swallowing for a week.

Make sure you lube the zipper -- otherwise a great suit (and customer service is top notch at O'Neill)
Lower price point than a lot of dry suits, but quality is not compromised. Works well with cold weather stand up paddle boarding. UPDATE 12/2016: A year after buying this suit I'm updating my review and making it four stars instead of five. I still recommend it enthusiastically, but I ran into a problem with the zipper that you may be able to avoid if learn from my mistake: The zipper works well as long as you keep it well lubricated with an appropriate zip lubricating product. It worked well for me last season with the lubricant on it, but this season I neglected to reapply the lubricant and the zipper failed to catch properly. Once it came off the zipper track, there was no way to get it back on track and I had to send it to O'Neill for a potential $100+ repair [they ended up replacing the suit for free, see below!]. IF YOU DON'T MAKE MY MISTAKE AND LUBE THE ZIPPER PROPERLY, YOU SHOULD AVOID THE PROBLEM I RAN INTO. The zipper is EXCLUDED from the manufacturer warranty, so you must pay attention to this issue or else pay for a repair. It's a little crazy that they would exclude this vulnerable part of the suit from their warranty -- it's almost like an admission that they expect the zipper to need repair at a higher rate than normal. UPDATE 12/13/2016: I just talked to O'Neill and learned that they immediately shipped a replacement suit, for free, to me after they received my damaged suit last week. So even though the zipper failed, I can say that customer service did not fail and in fact exceeded expectations by replacing this suit out of warranty. Great product, great customer service.

Meh
Well, It is better at keeping water in than out. I use this for kiteboarding, and every time I hit the water I end up with water in my legs. I CANT FIGURE OUT WHERE IT'S COMING IN AT! I usually wear a spring suit under it and I feel fine, the coldest I used this in was 40F outside temp, and water temps of about 45F. Even though water leaked in I still felt fairly comfortable, just make sure you dress right under the "Dry suit" and you should be alright. Its more of a windbreaker really lol If you are not doing an extreme sport it will actually keep you fairly dry, so if you want a really expensive pair of waders this should do you pretty good. Other than that I really wouldn't have wanted to pay as much as I did for it. I would honestly recommend you save up for a different dry suit, maybe one with fully enclosed feet.

As a diver I have had my fair share of drysuits that I have been issued or purchased for recreational use. I bought this drysuit specifically for jetsking during the winter months. Where water temps drop to high 30's and air temps go as low as 18 below. I was hesitant at first about the neoprene neck due to the fact i knew it would let some water channel in, but was not sure how much. I was willing to take the risk because I did not want another latex or silicone neck for the comfort factor. I have been using this suit for about a month now and love it. I purchased a LARGE, I weigh 180lbs and 5'11 with broad shoulders. This size was perfect for me, I wear 2 sets of tight thermals and 2 pairs of sweats and still have plenty of wiggle room for tricks and maneuvers. From body movement etc air builds up in the suit this also adds a buoyancy factor as well. This also aids in keeping you afloat when you get tossed off at 30mph and keeps water out. I have fully submerged myself and watched air bubbles release from the neck under the water, after all of the air was purged out the amount that leaked in was about 6oz. So i decided to buy a sauna suit to wear as my last layer and that works perfect. All in all well made, water tight, ridged zipper, great price, added features that I did not know before buying was that comes with internal suspenders to keep crouch up and external recessed cuffs on top and bottom perfect for booties and gloves..

Tight neck
I wanted to like this thing, but I just don't enjoy wearing it. I don't even think it's an issue with this brand or model but more an issue with drysuits in general. The neck seal is too tight but if you make it loose enough to breath then it lets water in. I just feel strangled wearing this in general, but I think maybe I have a bigger than usual neck. Overall the material quality is good and the design is good, if this fits you well and you don't feel like you're suffocating it would probably be a great drysuit.

Leaked from day one
Stayed in the box till May for first use. Waxed the zipper and checked the whole suit before using. Used it four times and it leaked every time around the neck seal and the zipper. O'neill hasn't been able to provide me with any information on how to care for the suit other than wax the zipper and keep out of sunlight when not using it. Not happy with this purchase.

Ankle gaskets are not small enough and leak. Buckels on shoulder straps are sewn in backwards
Ankle gaskets not tight enough. Shoulder strap buckels are backwards with round part toward chest. Very painful (Picture)
