Bite Protection

We give a cat a injection everyday. The injection is pretty painful and the kitty gets very angry. This has protected out limbs and fingers. We tried other muzzles and this one is by far the best one.

The best muzzle for cats

When I saw my vet pull out this muzzle for my highly anxious cat, I was a bit taken aback. Yes, it does look like a little kitty BDSM device, but it makes more sense when you get into the practicalities of what these are supposed to do: provide a way of restraining the cat from biting and limiting visuals so important tasks like trimming claws can be done without injury. The firm shape ensures that airflow is not restricted. I read reviews of the cloth versions and they accomplished only the purpose of limiting vision, but did not prevent the cat from biting the owner. Getting it on took a little bit of figuring out. Because no cat is going to be enthralled with being muzzled, they will try to shake it off. Getting the size adjuster close to the right size before putting it on the cat will save you trouble. The cat will try to shake off the muzzle and if you need to take a hand away to adjust the size, the cat will throw it off. By having the size close, I can adjust with one hand without much difficulty. Happy trimming!

Straps difficult to tighten

This product looks like the one my cat groomer uses, but it is plastic, not leather. The ties are very difficult to tighten or loosen—I had to un-cross them, which helped a little. That said, once I got this to stay on my cat, it did work. Having it over her eyes really seems to calm her down when I try to remove mats.

MAKE SURE YOU KNOW THE SIZE YOU NEED

I got the standard which was the smallest available. I think they make a small but Amazon did not carry it. I tried it on him when I first got it, and it seemed ok. He had his nails cut at the vet, so I did not need to use it right away. So when I went to use it recently - It is really too big for my cat, but I missed the return window. I will try to see if I can make it smaller. Otherwise it is nice and sturdy and I like that it is a USA company

Calmed the feral cat for nail trim!

We have a half feral house cat that hates to have her nails trimmed. She’s bitten and scratched us up pretty bad. I saw a video of a vet using this muzzle and long leather gloves on a feral cat. Bought this and the gloves right away. It worked like a dream. Once I slipped the muzzle on, she froze. Not sure we even needed the gloves, but better safe than sorry. This was very easy to use. Plenty of air flow.

Simply the best muzzle ever created.

The best muzzle ever for a tough to deal with cat in a very humane way. Fits great, easy to get on and off and plenty of air. I gave mine to my groomer who was amazed at how well it worked ! Less stress on the animal and the handlers, what more do you need. Highly recommend by this purchaser.

Should have bought it years ago.

I purchased the standard size muzzle. My cats range from 12-20 lbs. It works wonderfully on all of them. No more biting while clipping their nails or grooming them. As the title states, I should have purchased this a long time ago. It is a professional tool and worth the money. No regrets what so ever. Fantastic.
