Perfect for a foster "with issues".
I have 6 Rottweilers of my own and have never felt the need for a muzzle, until now. I took in an older rottweiler mix as a foster. He came to me to recover from a double cherry eye surgery, double rear dew claw removal, and a neuter. The vet sent him home with a nylon muzzle, a number of antibiotics and ointments, and wishes of "good luck." I figured that I have always had great luck with medical fosters and luck wasn't necessary. Boy, was I wrong on this one. There was no way to apply eye ointment without losing fingers. Using the poorly fit nylon muzzle just agitated him and made the whole situation worse. The day came when I was supposed to remove his leg bandages, but his trust issues and "bite before thinking" mindset made it impossible to accomplish. I broke down, not really wanting to spend this much money on a foster dog. I took measurements from one of my rotties with a similar head and muzzle size and made the purchase. I am very glad that I did. After I used one of my rotties as a fitting model to get the straps close, I put the muzzle on the foster. He really didn't fight the muzzle. He still snapped at me when I applied the ointment, but I was safe from his bite. When I went to remove the bandages, he was also very aggressive. The basket muzzle is very well made, and stayed in place, offering me the confidence and protection to remove the bandages and look at his stitches without incident. I am now very happy that I spent the money on this well made muzzle. I now have it for future situations and use.

Best Wire Basket Muzzle money can buy!
I live in the Caribbean, and it's usually very humid out here. I am the proud owner of 5 rottweilers, of which two are from imported stock, one from Belgium and one from Germany. These dogs can overheat big time in this climate, and due to a big push for legislation in my country, I am preparing to walk them with muzzles on. After much online research, and recommendations from my trainer, I decided that the best way to go was a basket muzzle. This Dean and Tyler muzzle catched my eye. Not only is it practical, but it is also very trendy. When I walk my dogs I get alot of positive comments about the muzzles, especially the way they look. Most of all my babies seem to like them very much! Muzzle training them was a breeze, and I did it all by myself. My trainer was so impressed with them that when my imported male outgrew his "puppy" size, he bought it for his dogs. I have since bought a few more for some of his other clients who he recommended. I have purchased alot of Dean and Tyler products lke harnesses etc. and I have to say I am very impressed with each product. Good
I got this for my 5 year old female Rottweiler as she can be dog aggressive around dogs she has never met before. I only use this when I am walking her in Queens when I visit my father as the last thing I need is someone trying to flip out even after I have told them she does not get along with other dogs. I only gave this 4 stars because she is definitely a medium Rottie, but the muzzle is still a bit large. However, it is till workable for the purpose. She is never off leash in public, so I have complete control over her, but it's just a precaution more for my and her security than for other dogs/owners. I love her to death and she is a beautiful and loving dog, she just got a bad start in life in her previous home and is very wary of strangers, dog and human alike.

Great muzzle! After a few size adjustments, it fit my female rotty perfectly! Did the job perfectly for the vet visit I got it for!

The real Deal. "Thank you," Dean & Tyler
My dog is a Rottweiler/Shepherd mix. He likes people, but not other dogs. He loves going for walks. It's bad enough when someone with a dog is coming from the other direction. But then there is the problem of people who let their dogs run loose, despite a leash law. There's been a few skirmishes in the past. I tried one of those canvas muzzles. It was terrible. He'd try to remove it the whole time; he was just miserable wearing it. It restricted his ability to pant. This muzzle is the real deal. It has a nice soft cushion that that goes over his snout. The cage gives him plenty off leeway to pant, sniff the ground, and to just do his thing. He got used to it in no time, and lets me put on him with no problems. If you want to get a muzzle for your dog, this is the one to get.

JUST PERFECT !!!!
I bought the muzzle for my 8 month old Rottweiler for his training classes. The muzzle works great! I don't have to worry about him overheating while we train. I can still reward him without taking it off of him. I tried to find something at the local pet stores before I found this muzzle online. The ones at the pet stores were not good for training and he could not where them for more than 20 min without getting to hot. The trainer in class said it was great for training and had someone else in another class who needed the same for there dog and had me tell them all about it. I love this muzzle I could not be any happier .....

Dean and Tyler Muzzle - Medium Rottweiler
Bought this for my male American Bulldog. He is a very large dog with aggressive tendencies towards other male dogs. Use this on my bike rides. It is easy to put on and take off in a moment. He now associates with a positive experience because whenever I get it out he knows that we are going out for a ride. It does not secure as well as I thought it would but for what I am using it for it is well worth every penny. Would buy again.

GOOD FIT, VERY WELL DESIGNED. I FEEL CONFIDENT I CAN PUT THE MUZZLE ON FOR MY DOG AND TAKE HIM OUT WITHOUT WORRYING ABOUT WHETHER HE WILL BITE ANY ONE. IT LOOKS VERY GOOD AND I AM SURE IT WILL BE VERY DURABLE. I AM PLEASED.
