Great value for a good multimeter
The pros: The MM700 is a great value for the money. True RMS and the screen is large enough for my aging eyes to see. Relative measurements and min/max readings are a plus over the old Fluke 77 I've used for years. Build quality is much better than many of the less expensive meters , and this meter has all the features needed for the do-it yourself homeowner. The cons: The leads are a little too short; another foot in length would be nice. The design of the display should be re-evaluated. If the meter is leaning back on it built-in stand, it's fine, but if it's vertically straight, the display is faded. The carry case should be a liitle bit larger. I bought the magnetic holder for the meter and things are tight when thrying to load all the included accessories into the case.

Appears very well made
Replaced an old Extech that was no longer reliable and had to go in the trash. Spent a little more on this product to get RMS functionality and hopefully longevity based on it being from Kleine Tools. Easy to use, appears to be very well made and the accuracy is spot on for what I am using it for which is homeowner electric, automotive and some light electronics. As others have stated the temp probe is easily 10 degrees off in 0 to 100 degree range (where I have used it). The case it comes with is only OK at best. At this price point I would have liked to have been provided a better case that also holds all of the accessories. If you don't want to spend Fluke money, I'm pretty sure this will meet your needs. Have not been disappointed with a Kleine product yet.

Well Built Unit!
While it is not a Fluke it is great for the money.

A bit expensive, but worth it.
I wanted a high quality meter, but I didn't want to pay the price of a Fluke. I've bought Klein hand tools in the past and never been disappointed. So i tried this meter. It's worth it, but I suggest you also buy the magnetic hanger.

This MM700 cannot be used to measure frequency (Hz) off a Generac Home Standby Generator
Klein meters' unreliable Hz (Hertz - Frequency) function delayed completion of our Generac 24KW Home Standby Generator installation and service turn up testing process and caused hours of research, troubleshooting, and cost to the Generac generator installation. Bottom line is don't trust a Klein Meter's Hz function when testing a Generac Generactor's; purchase a LoZ s Fluke Meter (e.g. 116 or 117) instead. If you are measuring Hz / Hertz / Frequency on utility provided voltage Klein meters’ Hz function works fine and overall, I loved this Klein MM700 for features and value. But if the feature (Hz) you need most doesn’t work it is useless. We tested measuring Hz with four different Klein and Fluke meters both on the Utility provided power and Generac Standby Generator power and here are the results. All four meters passed for voltage readings of the 240VAC Generator supplied backup power. UTILITY POWER Hz Measurement KLEIN CL700 PASS KLEIN MM700 PASS FLUKE 116 PASS FLUKE 117 PASS Generac Model 7209 24KW Home Standby Generator Power Hz Measurement KLEIN CL700 FAIL Initially 60Hz for a moment then wildly higher fluctuating readings KLEIN MM700 FAIL Initially 60Hz for a moment then wildly higher fluctuating readings FLUKE 116 PASS 59.7 Hz to 60.28 Hz FLUKE 117 PASS 59.7 Hz to 60.28 Hz Further investigation: 1) I reached out to the senior HVAC tech for a major contractors that supports WalMart and Meijer stores. He said that his company had tried Klein meters and found the frequency function unreliable. They use FLUKE exclusively and have found their Hz function to work properly. 2) I did some internet searches about reading generator output where the meter show voltage properly but very high Frequency (Hz) numbers and they seems to corroborate our suspicion that Klein is not reliable, but Fluke is, for measuring Generator Hz. My overall evaluation of KLEIN MM700 is that I really liked the meter if the Hz function would have worked for me. If you only need the Hz function for utility power, and not generator output, you will be fine and probably love this meter. If you are still reading this is how KLEIN caused us lost time and expense. 1) The Generac initial installation process includes testing the voltage and frequency of the generator before proceeding. Our licensed Electrical Contractor and Master Electrician used his KLEIN CL700 to test the generator output. Voltages were correct at a nominal 240VAC and 120VAC for L1 and L2. When he measured Hz it failed. Initially the Klein CL700 showed 60.2 Hz for moment then the values started climbing into the 100-200 range. We repeated the test and restarted the generator but could not get anything resembling the 60 – 62 specified in the Generac installation manual. 2) Our electrician changed meters to a FLUKE 116 and measured again. Now the FLUKE 116 showed 59.7 – 60.28 Hz. Tested with the KLEIN CL700 and Hz was all over the place in the 100 – 200 Hz and up. 3) Electrician declared generator good to go based upon the FLUKE 116 readings. 4) I was not comfortable with connecting generator power to the house without further testing. 5) After doing research of the AMAZON REVIEW I ordered the KLEIN MM700 thinking that my electrician’s KLEIN CL700 Hz function was defective. To my dismay the KLEIN MM700 performed exactly the same as the KLEIN CL700 initially showing 60Hz then jumping to very high values. I paid $101.64 for the KLEIN MM700. 6) So I went back to Amazon and paid $257.90 for a FLUKE 117. The FLUKE 117 had no problem (just as the FLUKE 116 did) displaying Hz Hertz (Frequency). The FLUKE 117 showed 59.7 to 60.2 Hz. Needless to say I sent the KLEIN MM700 back to AMAZON and I’m keeping the FLUKE 117. The rest of Generator installation and testing went fine. So it was the KLEIN’s Hz function that derailed the install costing much extra time, frustration and money. I’ve including some comparative pictures measuring utility Hz. All worked fine. I didn’t have a free hand available to record the unreliable KLEIN Hz readings.

Cables incorrectos
