Conquering Jobs That Once Required Three Hands
My employer has grand expectations of the abilities of the IT staff. One desire is that we can hold a monitor (screen only) with one hand while threading four long screws through two brackets from behind while standing up. Prior to this purchase, I never heard of a "screw starter" or "screw holding screwdriver". I just knew if something existed that could allow me to meet the demands of my position, Amazon would have it. Here it is! I just completed my first solo performance of this once impossible task. This product held the screw and allowed me to thread it enough so I could release my grasp and finish with a traditional screwdriver.

handy
A useful addition to my "bag of tricks"

Only works with very small size phillips head screws.
Didn't solve my problem. I didn't return it because I'm sure I can use it in the future.

No such thing as perfect. But this works (kinda)
I have a larger screw starter by Greeley but it does not allow me to start screws in tight spaces. This tool works in a very small space but you’re only able to get a few threads started before it detaches.

Great Screw Starter!
I came across this tool in my ongoing search for a screwdriver that will actually “hold” a Phipps head screw. This one does just that, it will hold the screw to get it to the place where you want it to go, you can even turn it a little, enough to catch a thread or start to grip. But that is it, once you put any torque on the screw the holder lets go and you swap to a conventional screwdriver. But that is what it is supposed to do, plus it is very slim so easy to see where it is going. If you have ever struggled to get a small Philips head screw started in a tough spot with fat fingers you will appreciate this gem. There is a lack of instruction but pretty obvious what needs to happen, push the knurled collar towards the tip to compress the 4 “fingers” insert into the Phillips screw and release the collar. My new go to tool!!

This one actually works
I have been thru several of these and none have worked well on smaller Phillips screws. Even the cheap ones work in the big honkin #10 and larger. I needed one the will work down to about #6. This does, and works on bigger Phillips too.

This one works and works well.
I had another brand, the one that requires you to turn and cock it and then attach the screw. I had what I assume was a US made version that must have been 30 years old. It got lost and I replaced it with a what I thought was the same thing. It was Chinese made and would only hold 1 of 5 different Phillips head screws that I tried; so I returned it. I then bought this Klein screw holder and though it works differently, it actually works. It holds from #0 to #3 phillips screws with no problem. I recommend it highly.

Arrived Bent and unusable
This item arrived bent, and I was going to return it but then thought, Heck at $7 just buy another. But the price went up to $25 Plus dollars Its is not worth that much so I have decided to just write this review. Very disappointing a Klein tool that bends in transit.
