This muzzleloader dry box is a must have for black powder enthusiasts! The box is really designed for keeping all your muzzleloading materials together in a quick access box for when you are at the range or just simply to keep it stored at home. By no means is this box made out of indestructable plastics but the strength of it will handle trips to the range or used simply to store all your muzzleloading materials. It is super convenient, the top opens up and provides quick access to your more commonly used items (be aware that this top compartment is not water proof). When you open up the box to gain access to the water resistant interior, you have a lift out tray that you can place various small items such as brushes, primers, pads, etc (what ever you can imagine). Once you remove the lift out tray, you have access to more space for larger and perhaps taller items like powder pellets, loose powder, cleaning materials, grease, cloths, pads, etc. I truly enjoy this box as it has a few nifty items/designs but they all help to maximize storage capacity and organization. The box is equipped with security lock holes so that you may place a lock to secure it (note that the top non-water resistant compartment is not a part of this locking feature). To top it off, it comes with a traditional long musket design that is etched into the top and a muzzleloader sticker on the side. Did I mention that it is around $20? It is literally a steal, a most definite win for the consumers. All of my firearm cases and containers come from MTM and there is a reason why I keep going back to them...high quality materials made with the consumers in mind and at a reasonable price!

Great Case
Most people just grab a few cartridges and off they go. Shooting a muzzleloader means you have a lot of special stuff. I had so much stuff that I bought this item years back and searched out a source to buy a second one. They stack also. You spend less time looking for your muzzleloader items with these cases. Although they seal, I find Wisedry gel pack inside is added moisture protection.

GOOD BOX
This box is great for the price. It does have a second tray but is does not come out it lift up which is okay, which gives it more then adequate storage for small items. Anybody that would complain about this item for 15.95 I would not sell them Secretariat for the price of a old mule because they would find something to raise heck about. Happy customer for the box and its price.

Glad I orderd..I really like it.
This is a well built box with plenty of room. Being designed for muzzle loading equipment, it has plenty of space for all the items needed to successfully fire and clean any black powder gun/riffle. The different compartment/areas help keep powder/primers away from cleaning solutions/lubricants. It has a lot of height to it so larger items should fit nicely there. The design idea is great and this size is great for those that have either multiple black power firearms and accessories. It would be great to see a slightly smaller box with the same concept for those that don't need as much room for their equipment. There is nothing special that makes only for muzzle loader equipment so it can be easily used for other uses like regular firearm equipment and maybe even fishing (a little of a stretch here)...

Great range box.
I have used my ML dry box 5-6 times at the range in conjunction with possibles bag and really like it. I don't use the removable tray. Instead I cut a piece of high density foam same shape at the inside of bottom of box, laid out all my item as I would like them to stay in box and traced in foam. Cut out the tracings and now all my items stay organized and don't fall over. One pound bottle of BP and 5.5 oz tube of Bore Butter will stand up in main compartment without tray installed. The Bore Butter needs to go under high spot in lid. I also made foam holder for 3 piece range rod. All my small parts go in top tray in lid. Extras such as patches and percussion caps that I also carry in my possibles bag live the box for quick resupply.

MTM Large Muzzle Loader box
I have 3 of these boxes because they hold so much, I love them, all of my boxes have a Varity of ammo and the tray is a great place to hold small knives and tools. If any one has tried picking this up when full of ammo (large box) you would know it is very heavy, but the plastic box and handle seem to hold up very well, no one has complained about it breaking the handle, Now think about how heavy it would be if it were metal with 2 metal trays, all who think it should be metal, the metal one this size have 2 handles and probably cost $ 50, if you think it should be metal why didn't you buy metal. Just a little advice, go to a larger gun show and check out the different types before buying I did my homework first. Good hunting, Joe

I have always had good luck with MTM products and I have a couple other identical boxes but the bottom of this one is bowed which causes it to not sit flat and to rock, I'm not sure if it was manufactured wrong, stored wrong etc. I used a hair dryer to get the bottom hot and placed some heavy weights on it to see if I can force the bottom back into its proper place.
