Not as blue as pictured online. Looks more teal in real life

Rebuilding my “ NRS3 MTB” I really wanted to match the blue script on my bike. It isn’t as blue as pictured online. Looks more teal in real life. Wifey told me to put it on and see how it looks. If I don’t like it. I’ll return for a black one.

Great seat clamp for 2015 Fuji Track

Works with my 2015 Fuji Track with a clamp size of 29.8mm. My original Fuji track clamp actually broke within a week of use, so I figured I might as well replace it with a QR so I can take my seat post off quickly when locking up my bike. Useful if you have an expensive saddle you don't want stolen or simply want to adjust the seat post while riding. The blue color is vibrant and is a metallic, electric blue. Does a good job at keeping my seat post secure. I'll update this review in time, but so far the clamp is working great.

A fair product for a fair price

The clamp itself is fine, does what it says on the tin. It's pretty light. I had trouble getting it on at first. The bolt wasn't long enough to secure it to my seat tube. A trip to the local hardware store to get a bolt a few millimeters longer did the trick. Also, when tightening it tight enough to keep the seat immobile, the black plastic piece between the quick release lever and the main body of the clamp snapped off. It still works, so "no harm, no foul". I'd probably buy one again if I needed another seat post clamp. The price is good and it's attractive. And, since the bolt I purchases came in a two-pack, I've already got a spare bolt that is long enough.

Dropper Seatpost Alternative

My new MTB has the dropper seatpost, and I can’t live without it. So I wanted to bring my old MTB up to par with the new one, and how will I do that? With the quick release seat post clamp. Now both MTBs can manage even the worst trails.

Pay more for a QR that works

This is a horrible product for several reasons. First, the red it not red, it is quite definitely pink. When I pulled it out of the box my daughter said, "Oh, is that pink part for my bike?". It wasn't for her when I bought it but it definitely is now. Second, the screw is too short for the design. I am a mechanical engineer and it is VERY obvious what problem with this is. There are only maybe 1 or 2 threads of engagement of the screw into the barrel nut. The first time I tried to close it after installing it, it just popped open and tore the first couple threads out of that side of the barrel nut. I then noticed the thread engagement issue. This is completely unacceptable for a product as simple as this. They should have never shipped these to consumers. If you already bought one or bought one anyway after reading this there are a couple ways I have found fix this or at least make the product work. Buy a replacement screw that is ~.125 (1/8) inch longer so there are more threads engaged. What I did was remove the plastic piece and replace it with some .016" thick Teflon tape that I had. This allows for a couple more threads to be engaged but the aluminum lever isn't grinding on the aluminum body. I will eventually replace the screw with one of the proper length. The product is so bad I legitimately wonder if it is from Azonic or if its a knock off.

Love it!

I am outfitting my single speed with some red accents. This doesn't quite match the Origin 8 items I have that are red. That said it appears to be a well made product and I would buy again. I have a 27.2 straight post on my steel frame bike, for those of you wondering.

Must Have

I upgraded a Surly Fatty with this works great to quickly adjust seat height. If you don't want to spend $$$ on a dropper seat this is a super inexpensive way to do an upgrade to a static seat.

Good substitute for my original seat clamp. Great quality for price. Held up to all my rides thru numerous rough conditions. Easy on and off for on the go adjustments.
