There's a Monopoly theme for everyone!

Purchased as a gift after learning that someone I know is suspected of cheating at Monopoly! I am sure that their family with all appreciate it.

Short game

Hard to Get Used to, But Fun

Santa brought this as a gift for my kiddos (age 7 and 10). Only the older of the two has played the original and doesn't even remember doing so, but both were excited that they'd be allowed to cheat. I think it could be a lot of fun, but I think even 10 is a bit young for it. My daughter is bright, but still somewhat struggled to keep track of the cheats allowed, as they change up throughout the game. Also, she's a terrible liar (thank goodness lol), so she was bummed that I kept catching her. The 7-year-old bailed on the game somewhat early. I think he lasted maybe 30 minutes. A couple of things to note: the game actually takes up a ton of space. Because theft is used throughout, all the property cards have to be around the board and anything you have (money, property) has to be out in front of you as well, in order to put it within range of a thief. Plus, each person banks for him/ herself. That's a whole lot of chaos going on. Moreover, you start out with five cheats available, and when someone uses one, you change that one out. Between that and the self-banking, it does get somewhat complicated, especially for younger players. We also felt that the game carried on for too long. In the future, we will probably set a timer and play for just 45-60 minutes when there are so few players. Personally, I think this would be hilarious to play with other grownups. I know some people get testy over the cheats, but that's kind of the whole point of the game. Who's got the best poker face? I sincerely fear the day my kids beat me. :o

So much fun.

My 11 year old son loves board games and Monoply is one of our favorites. I bought this for him for Christmas and we played it that night. None of us were really sure what to expect. It’s a little different than the original monopoly. Ie: no houses, no utilities or railroads, etc - little things like that. It’s a little difficult to get used to the new rules but after a few rolls and turns, you get used to it. We played with three of us - two adults and my 11 year old. You are limited to whatever “cheats” you draw that you lay out on the board. Some are quite hard (ie: skip out on paying rent) to get away with and some are easy (steal from the bank). It was so much fun trying to cheat and you quickly became very paranoid of everyone’s actions. One of the cheat actions was to steal a hotel from someone’s property or the bank and put it on your own property. My husband stole a hotel from the bank and I caught him, looked at him suspiciously where he immediately started to laugh and deny it- while in the middle of laughing, he drops the hotel on the floor denying ever doing it - but we heard it drop and roll on the floor. It was just too funny. If you want some laughter and paranoia, buy this. It’s different but we had so much fun together. I almost gave this four stars due to some of the cheat actions being really difficult but that just adds some flare to it. Not everything can be easy in life.

Great game

Such a great game. So fun to play during the isolation when stuck with your family. You can take some anger out while you steal from your family. Monopoly has some amazing different types of monopoly games. Only thing I had a issue with is it came bandaged up a bit. But other then that all the pieces are in it. And it comes in a sealed box.

Fun night ahead!

Buyd as a christmas gift for me and my bf, it was in my wishlist for a long time. We didnt tried it out yet, but im pleased with it. Its my first Monopoly game, quite happy it has english AND French card. The piece where of metal, execpt for the houses. The game board is good quality(like any other social games) The game comes with the rules of course, but make sure to read it, they differ from the original one. It also comes with the handcuff and all cheating/chance cards. I recommend this game a 100%
