I'll say upfront that this is a five-star product, but I down-graded it based on the difficulty of getting instructions and their accuracy. This handheld shower was very pricey, but well worth it, as Moen is a quality brand. If you want lots of water and high pressure, don't buy it. But if you want to conserve water, lower your water bill, and experience a refreshing, gentle, uniform flow of water, this is for you. Less hot water used equates to lower electric/gas usage as well. Doesn't steam up the bathroom as much either. It has a lifetime warranty, and has an attractive LifeShine® finish guaranteed not to tarnish, corrode or flake off. I've had Moen products before, and they stand behind their warranty. I installed it before having surgery so I could adjust the three-function shower head to a convenient level for a shower stool. The 69" hose and handheld shower head make showering very easy, even if you're partly disabled. The height and angle of the shower head is easily adjusted on the slide bar. The downside: First, you must purchase a drop ell, which is required for installation, sold separately model (A725). You will probably need a short (1/2"x1-2") nipple to install the drop ell flush with the wall. Second, no instructions were provided with the product. I went to moen.com, pulled up the model number, and still no instructions to download. After searching their website for half an hour, I found downloadable instructions under model 3869BN which apply to several models, including this one. The only difference is the shower head. The instructions direct you drill 7/64" pilot holes to determine if there is a study behind the wall where you want to mount the slide bar. If there is a stud, you are directed to drill 5/16" holes and use the provided 1/2" wood screws to install the slide bar brackets. That would result in holes 1/16" larger than the screws, and they would not hold in the stud. 3/16" holes make more sense. You may have to drill a shallow 1/4-5/16" hole through tile or other surface so that the screws pass through, but don't penetrate the stud. There is also a hollow wall option which directs you to drill 5/8" holes for toggle bolts which are also provided. Depending on the surface you're drilling into, this can be challenging. I had to buy a 5/8" diamond tip tile bit (like a hole saw) for about $20 to penetrate porcelain tile. Then the holes were not large enough to fit the toggles through! I had to drill at a slight angle and ream our the holes to make them large enough. Once mounted, the slide bar is extremely sturdy. The remainder of the installation is a snap. Great product, poor installation instructions.
