Original Quality

I saw others similar to the original for a fraction of the price but after seeing reviews I decided to get the Orignal brand and I'm glad I did. It's a perfect fit for my trolling motor

Lube threads before assembly

Had to cut or drill every screw because they seized in the nut.

Tougher than it seems

Easy install. Had to modify it a bit to mount my troller exactly where I wanted it and that was very easy to accomplish. Holes for pins are a little tight and the pin is not a solid U. That is the only weak point to this design. A quick tap will break the handle making the lock obsolete.

Works as intended

Used it for riptide terrova 80lb 72". Works perfectly.

Does not work on smaller, hand steer Riptide motor

This mount, RTA-17, does NOT work on my hand-steer MinnKota Riptide 55SC trolling motor. Having to return it. The mount holes are not aligned, and the bracket is too wide to even drill my own holes to try and make it work. I’m left wondering what mount will work?

Well made

Well made. The only reason I removed a star was due to the mounting nuts that have only one full thread inside them. Will have to pick up new stainless steel lock nuts.
