Great for little kids

Love these! My 5 and 2 year old love them and I feel much safer about them using this shorter size than the regular sized colored pencils.

I had no idea how far Crayola has come. Even a pencil sharpener is in the back. I felt like a kid again.

It Even Cam With A Sharpener

Great product. I didn't even realize it came with a sharpener in the back. Only issue is that it is a very flimsy box, and broke after the 2nd use. You are better off getting a pencil pouch and a sharpener on the side to store the pencils.

Cute little colored pencil

I wanted to have a large selection of colors for my Sunday school class. Without having to pay a whole lot. I bought two of these and although they may not last as LONG as a regular sized pencil. These really give my class a lot of color options at a more affordable price.

Never go wrong with crayola

Can never go wrong with this brand. Love how it’s a smaller version and good for travel.

Not a great variety of colors

These are not just mini, they are very very short - I expect them to be hard to grab even after a few uses. I expected a better variety of colors but there isn't such - some colors are too similar, others are weird. I do not like that combination and definitely do not think they are worth the money

Great for on the go!

I love these colored pencils for trips or coloring at restaurants. I do keep them in a little pouch though. These are hard to find in store, so I order them here. Be aware that the box is usually trashed in shipping. This time mine was taped together.

They don’t last long

I bought it didn’t come broken. The only Reason I gave it 4 stars it doesn’t last long if you draw everyday either way it perfect for traveling and lots of variety of colors.

They may be short...

...but they still deliver on quality, in my experience. 64 different coloured, 'short-length', ready-to-use pencils, each measuring around 8.5 cm. Because of their size they may not appeal to all but I was determined to extend my CRAYOLA collection by the 14 extra colours over and above those in my treasuredbox of 50 full-length pencils , namely: * AMETHYST * AUROMETALSAURUS (A shade of grey!) * BABY BLUE * BALL BLUE * DOLLAR BILL * ELECTRIC GREEN * GUPPIE GREEN * MEAT BROWN * PLATINUM * ROSE RED * SANDSTORM * SPIRO DISCO BALL * TOOLBOX * UFO GREEN Impeccably packed for safe transport, the 64 dinky little colouring pencils come in a cardboard box, easily recognisable in the regular CRAYOLA colours, measuring around 14.5 cm x 12 cm x 3 cm. Inside the pencils have cardboard separators and are simply staged, showing 8 x 8, so all are visible and each is reasonably easy to select, depending on the age and patience of the user. Each is simply embossed with 'CRAYOLA' in gold colouring on one side of the self-coloured rounded barrel. There is no other detail, i.e. the colour name. The diameter is the same as the full-length pencil, and considering the relative thickness of the core each sharpens to a reasonable point (but not lethal) easily with a quality manual sharpener, when required. A single layer of colour is strong, especially on the darker colours, due to their relative softness. Arguably...because of this...they do appear to wear down quicker than some other brands. Speaking of sharpening, there is the added bonus of a built-in sharpener at one end of the box, although it is hardly noticeable on a cursory glance! The sharpener is on the plastic side but is efficient enough. The shavings are usefully collected in a removable compartment at the end of the box, but this is quite a small area and needs emptying regularly. As a note of caution, minute bits of colour can escape quite easily from this area. I only tend to use this facility if really essential. Having said that, it is better than nothing, if out and about without a sharpener. So much choice! ..but I wish they'd put the colour names on the pencils.

Pros: Couldn't resist a full set of colours, even if they are only short. Excited by the metallics and bright colours, as well as different proper purples! (I wish more/smaller sets included purple, instead of three browns...). The built in sharpener is pretty handy, good to be able to use these pencils as soon as you get them, and the storage is functional too. Cons: wish I'd bought them sooner before I splashed out on single f-c purples to compliment my 24 set of crayolas. Sometimes it's tricky to get a pencil out of the box, but it's a good way to package them and handy if you're short on pencil case space. Could only get these in the short length. Colour names aren't printed on the pencil. Overall, a great set. Crayolas are smooth to colour with on regardless of what colouring book I use, the colours are clean and bright and they blend well. I think they would be a great present for slightly older kids, as well as with adult colouring books for people who like a lot of choice and don't mind stubby pencils. :)

These really are 64 different colours! Great for kids under 7 as easier to hold. Advantage too is smaller box so hopefully won't keep falling on floor breaking all lead inside! Real pleased.
