Great Idea That Works! Price Is Still A Bit Too High!
I received the Mind Reader SINK25, Hygienic Disposable Drainers, Prevents Clogs, Sink Drain Filter, One Size, 25 Pack Strainer, Silver Color. I needed a new sink strainer so I thought these might be a good idea. Turns out they are pretty good. These are very thin so at 1st I was actually worried that they themselves might go down my drain. But so far they have been working out pretty good. Tiny bits of food do still get through the holes, but then they did with my old metal strainer too. I am using these in 2 stainless steel sinks and the silver color looks fine. My biggest complaint it that when I am running a larger flow of water down the drain, like dumping out of pot of pasta water, these sink strainers lift up and don't seal to the sink. I do figure that each of these will last me a month or so before they need to get recycled. All in all, I like these and when I run out of them I really will buy more. UPDATE 01/27/2020: I have been using these for a few months now. I really love these little sink strainers! They actually stay cleaner than my original metal sink strainers! I think it is because they are thin that there is not so much surface for gunk to stick to! Anyway, I am buying more of these to add throughout my home and guest flat. I only wish that these would also be offered in a bronze color so they would look better with my bronze finish sink fixtures. The silver colored ones do look decent in my stainless steel sinks with Stainless Sink Features. UPDATE 02/22/2020: I am really happy with these sink strainers! I like them so much I just bought another box of the silver ones. I like these better that the metal ones! These are easier to clean, and when they get just a bit too gross, I toss it and get a new one. So far, I'm finding that 1 strainer lasts about about 4 weeks per sink. UPDATE 02/07/20: OK, I came back to order more of the silver ones for gifts, but I see the price has almost been tripled from the $8.63 I paid for them less that a month and a half ago! - Yikes! - These Disposable Sink Strainers are now $23.99 per box of 25! Somebody is getting kinda greedy and now they are going to lose a customer! Too bad, because I really did like these, but not at this new price! Sorry, but I had to reduce my original 5 star rating because of value/price! :( UPDATE 11/14/2020: I really loved these disposable sink drain strainers, but the price of $23+ is just too much for only 25 of them when you need to toss one every week or two. If only the price would go down to a more reasonable amount, then I would continue to buy these! Right now, I can buy a metal screen sink strainer for$3 to $4 and toss the old one away every few months instead! UPDATE 09/12/2021: I am still using these. I replace them about twice a month because they either rip or are just too grungy to clean. They are a over twice the price now of my original order though. One thing I do not like about these is if you have your faucet on full-blast, or if you are dumping a large pot of liquid in the sink, these strainers will lift up and just float, so they don't catch anything! So, I have learned to pour out pasta or potato water slowly and don't blast the faucet! I still do love being able to throw these away when they are grungy and that is the biggest reason I still keep buying these.

A bit wasteful and does not last too long
From what I can tell from these, they are honestly not the best. They really only last about one weeks at most and I would rather just get a steel one at this point. You could buy a steel one that last you more than a year unlike these that may only last your half a year. This does have a pretty nice feel to them and they do not scratch the inside of your sink. They are also very easy to take out but they wear down really quick. You honestly will not get the best usage out of these. If you happen to be draining hot or warm water, I would definitely recommend taking this out before you do it as the material seems to warp pretty easily with the hot/warm water. It will catch majority of big size food such as vegetable peels and left over eggs in the pan but food like rice or grain just flush right through it. I was cleaning rice and of the rice went through this. It is definitely easier to take out compared to the steel ones as you can easily put your finger under the impression and pull the device up the only problem with this is that food can get caught under this and hair can actually slip through that impression. It does not stick which allows water to drain through it and not get clogged as easy. From what I can tell it does fit most sinks but it definitely not something you want to use in your tub or shower (will not fit). I actually had one break on me when taking it out of the box unfortunately. I am unsure why this occurred. Overall I think this is a nice thing to have if you do not want to clean your drainer a lot. You just remove and throw it out when you want. The only issue is that the holes on them make it way too easy for smaller grain to filter through. Anyone the size of rice will seep right through. Also the drainer just does not last that long and you are better off buying a metal one that will last longer and that you can easily clean.

Limited usefulness, but they do what they do
REVIEWING : Mind Reader SINK25-WHT, Hygienic Disposable Drainers, Prevents Clogs, Sink Drain Filter, White, One Size, 25 Pack Strainer Silver Review by the wife: When these were ordered, I must admit that it was overlooked that they were “disposable”. More “hey, these are 25 affordable drainers! Let’s get them!” So was surprised that they are disposable. Which have their pros and cons. As our metal drainers are are often clogged, can rust and get misshapen, these have actually been interesting to try. I’d hoped to use these for our bathroom sink and bathtub drainer but as they are about 5 “ wide, the only place they fit in our house is in the kitchen sink. I am using one on the side that has our disposal. As I compost most of our food scraps I am not tossing this away each time but using it to collect the larger scraps for our worm bin. Works fine for this. The product description says they can be used until they are so clogged with gunk that you throw them away. Huh? Who wants to keep stinky food or bathroom gunk in their drainer? Yuck. I rinse mine every day. Pros: * Lays nice and flat in the sink so water and scraps flow easily into it * Color is gray, not pretty but they don’t need to be * Easy to remove and rinse out * Lightweight * Cannot scratch a porcelain sink or leave marks like some metal ones do * I’ve been using one for two weeks Cons: * A bit of a waste of natural resources as it won’t last as long as one made of metal * The long slots on the sides allow larger pieces to slip through so may not be good at catching hair if you use it in the bathroom * Made of plastic. While the product description says “recyclable” bear in mind that plastics simply break down into “micro plastics” instead of into an organic, useful compostable product. I wish they were made of truly recyclable material.
