Really good brush
Works wells

Poor design & quality--not up to Miller Forge standards
Just received the brush today and the first time I picked it up, the plug that forms a cap for the end of the handle simply fell off. This may not seem like a big deal, but the end of the brush hits the base of your palm and if you spend any time grooming, that is going to get quite uncomfortable. I toyed with the idea of just gluing it back on but noticed it just does not fit solidly into the handle. Examining the brush further, the handle itself is made of a rigid plastic with a rough surface, that makes it rather slippery to hold. There is no cushioning of any type and the handle is really not ergonomically designed, it is just a straight, round handle with 3 protrusions to keep your hand from sliding. The closeup of the black brush shows the grain of the plastic. The gray brush appears to be a bit different in design. I have always regarded Miller Forge grooming products to be of good quality, but apparently when they started making them in China, they dropped the quality control. If you do decide to buy it, you may want to consider wrapping the handle with some electrical tape to cushion your hand if you will be using this slicker a lot. I'm sending it back because if it is already falling apart, the next thing to go will be the pin portion of the slicker. I will think twice about buying Miller Forge products in the future. Too bad...

Didn't pick up any hair
I will start with the fact that my dog has a very weird fur type. Half aussie and half border collie, smooth-ish medium hair and a double coat. I can pet him and pick up hair, this brush did not. Returned.

Game changer for knots!
I have been grooming for 10 years professionally and I recently heard of this brush and it has changed the game !!! This brush is excellent for matting. Now, when I say matting, I don't mean really badly and to the skin. Keep in mind the teeth on this brush are heavy duty so if you brush over an area too harshly or too much it will irritate the skin and will not be good for your pet. I like the use this brush to loosen up the knots, then use a dematting tool if needed and use the brush again to pull out the remaining knots. Awesome tool!

It gets the fur up.
This thing is huge. Check the dimensions. I have two cats and I use it not on them (they should be so lucky), but on my antique Persian rug. This thing gets the fur off my rug way better than any vacuum, and much more quietly. It picks up all the little bits of crap my cats track around the house too. I have noticed a little bit of dyed fiber in the bristles - wool from the rug - but it's such a small amount I'm not worried about it. The rug weighs like a hundred pounds, so by the time the gram or so a month of fiber I'm pulling off of it starts to show, I'll be well dead and gone, so to hell with it. Meanwhile, it looks beautiful, for a couple hours at least.

MY CAT LOVES IT.
It's a nice brush. Really too big for a kitty but when I ordered it, I didn't pay attention and had never seen a brush this big. Nevertheless, I used it on a medium sized cat and it works fine. It cleared off a lot of loose fur and the cat, "Mr Kitty", is just crazy about it. I show him the brush and the his tail goes straight up - A true sign of kitty love. I don't even want to get into all the rolling around on his back and paw stretching.

Good brush.
I like this brush but the plastic frame breaks easily when dropped. Other than that it's been a good slicker brush.

Cheap
Picture looks nice but I received it and it's a cheap brush the cap always comes off the end and the top side looks like it's missing a cover.
