For dovetail clamps, fantastic!

I tried a regular dovetail bit and it worked OK with my dovetail clamps. I had to usually shimmy the clamps through the slots to get them to move. This router bit is perfect for these clamps, they slide through the slots with ease and make using the clamps much more enjoyable. I was a bit skeptical but found it was well worth the investment.

Throw away your t-track.

Great bit for MatchFit grooves. Do yourself a big favor and buy their 1/4” bit to rough out the excess material. This will save the extra wear and tear on this dovetail bit. The 1/4” straight bit has a slight radius at the top of the groove and the dovetail bit finishes the job perfectly. You will find yourself routing grooves in lots of jigs & fixtures.

Worked perfectly

I bought this so I could make a jig to extend the front edge of my Saw Stop PCS. It worked great along with the dovetail clamps made to work with it. Highly recommend.

Great router bit

Used to make this jig, the only advice I have is, be very careful there are no brad nails in your project as the bit does not hold up well when you hit one. This is the second one I ordered.

Makes proper dovetails for Microjig clamps.

Works well. Use a relief bit or a table saw to cut a slot first to lengthen the life of this bit.

They have great ideas...but the price is not worth the idea. besides I live in Hawaii, and NOT ONE OF THE SELLERS would send to me in Hawaii and I'm a PRIME member for years. AMAZON BE CAREFUL YOU'RE GOING BACKWARDS. AND SHAME ON YOU MICRO JIG....Overpricing and not sending .... If you cannot send to Hawaii even though I'm a prime member, then allow us to filter what shows up for us to buy. if cannot ship to me even with prime then make it not list able. I rest my case.

Great Bit!

Been a long time but back in the workshop and had to have this MicroJig outfit! This bit worked perfectly! Made 2 separate slide-tables cutting slots w/this bit and worked perfectly!

Dispendieux pour la durée de vie.

L’outil va bien quand il est neuf. Pour aider il faut d’abord passer un couteau de 1/4 ou mieux de 5/16 pour enlever le surplus de bois. Je l’ai utilisé avec du contre plaque russe et après 10 rainures de 4 pieds, la coupe commençait à ralentir et l’outil avait chauffé considérablement. J’ai nettoyé l’outil, mais le problème demeure. J’en ai acheté un 2e et cette fois-ci je l’ai nettoyé souvent. Ça a fait tout la différence. Je trouve donc que c’est cher payé pour l’endurance et durée de vie A l’avenir je vais acheter une mèche régulière genre Dimar où Freud qui devrait être moins dispendieuse.

Pricey but worth it

These are like air shims. They are pricey for what you get, but they are a great solution to a common problem, so it is worth spending the money. I use them for a special table I made for cutting scribe strips on kitchen installations. I have been trying to find a good clamping system for this table for years. I had sliding tracks but they never worked well. I even considered reengineering a sheet metal worker's break. The dovetail clamps solved the problem perfectly, and for less money than some of the other solutions I was considering. So I bought several sets.

Great Dovetail bit

The bit worked well but I didnt notice the line marking the height the bit should be raised to but once I saw that it was great.

Expensive; does not fit

Purchased to work with Micro Clamps - they will not fit. Either they were cast too large or the bit is undersized. CJ
