Does not Fit Most Puzzles

Seriously a genius idea - if it actually worked. I ordered this because we have 15 Melissa and Doug puzzles that are currently just sitting on top of each other in a pile. They are constantly getting knocked over and pieces are all over the place so I wanted something to help organize them. I had been served quite a few ads for this based on our puzzle history purchases and gave it a shot, excited to finally have them organized. NOPE. Only 3 of the 15 puzzles fit in there. The ones that fit were the super skinny boards. The pieces had pegs on them, so I couldn’t even utilize all of gone available slots! The other puzzles we have are not considered “chunky” by any means - they all have the pegs just like the other, but are just a few centimeters thicker. If this were a great product, it should fit the average size Melissa and Doug puzzles that I’m purchasing in the stores - not the super old ones from Marketplace.

Confused

Bought this for all my daughters Melissa and Doug board puzzles and it didn’t fit any of them. They were too thick. Very confused and this thing was expensive for what it is.

Listen to the reviews. It is sturdy and works well for regular wooden puzzles. Some of the thicker puzzles still work but that’s only if the pegs are in the right place. With those you can skip a slot and most will fit. But it’s really disappointing to buy Melissa & Doug puzzle holder for the (most popular) Melissa and Doug puzzles and they don’t fit! I’m reeeally glad I didn’t buy the other M&D stand where the top half is more narrow or I would likely have many more that don’t fit. I still haven’t found one that is made for large/thick puzzles. It’s really strange and disappointing but I guess the hunt is on.

Keeping Puzzles Organized - Happily OCD

This is ** NOT ** a "received item... for giving a review" Review - I selected & purchased this product after much researching and reading reviews, when available, to find the "just right" one! I'm thankful to all those that take the time to write reviews, which have enabled me to learn more about the product/s so I may make a selection & order with "well informed" confidence. I try to "return the favor" by writing reviews too. Some items that I'm "overly thrilled" with will inspire me to write a very detailed review. This is one of those items... MY REVIEW: Very pleased with this product - received on time (or early). THANK YOU! Thankful to all those that wrote reviews - helped in my decision to order for not only this storage stand, but also as to which puzzles I wanted to order to ensure they'll fit this stand. For example, had originally thought to order the chunky puzzles and / or large knob puzzles. Instead, I opted to order Melissa & Doug "peg puzzles" (has smaller pegs) and they fit perfectly. NOTE: there are other puzzles that'll also fit, I've only mentioned these three "types" as they were the only ones I was contemplating for my toddler grandson, at this time. One little detail... I felt that my "Melissa & Doug" Puzzles were sliding in a little "too snug" and didn't want it to cause any undue wear along the sides of the puzzles. As an easy solution, I pulled ever so slightly upon both the left & right sides (simultaneously) on this Storage Case, with gentle pressure, just until it had widened it "just a bit more" to allow for no more rubbing on the sides of the puzzles. No problem, and really NOTHING to merit any form of concern. Only worthy of mentioning this easy solution, IF others also run into the same minor dilemma. As for those that stated a concern about there being no "bumper pads" on the bottom to help protect surfaces - I have no such concern. Have felt all over the bottom, especially the corners and am confident that it should not cause ANY type of marring upon my table top or shelving where I have it placed. IF you have any such worry, or want to give "extra careful" protection to your surface, I liked the suggestion another reviewer gave for such a concern. Use of any "non-slip shelf liner" or "Grip Easy Liner Non-Adhesive Shelf Liner", ought to be a safe and happy solution for you. Wow! Single rack or Deluxe? Oh, chunky puzzles...

Like many others, I was on the fence with which rack to order, single or deluxe? I initially chose the deluxe version due to owning 4 chunky puzzles and the deluxe rack offers taller slots to accommodate them. This was true. I slid all of our chunky puzzles into the deluxe rack with a smile... but quickly realized the top of the rack was full and I owned no large puzzles to fit the bottom. The 9x11 puzzles do NOT work well in the larger slots. The side bars that hug the puzzles are gone, so one side of the puzzle would inevitably fall and the pieces would rattle. To me, it defeated the purpose of owning a rack, so back it went. I then ordered the single rack, and it fit our needs much better. Other reviewers were right in that the slots for the 9x11 puzzles in the single rack are not as tall. They fit peg puzzles like a glove, but you do need to plan to use 2 slots for each chunky puzzle. Also, some of the chunky puzzle pieces will be in the way if they are on the edge of the board, so you’ll need to slide them over for the board to fit. With 12 slots in the rack, I am able to fit 4 peg puzzles (2 shown) and 4 chunky puzzles due to doubling them. Not a perfect solution, but it works for us. The puzzles slide in and out of the rack easily without pulling the rack with it, which was a concern for me. We also have the hide and seek puzzle with the magnets, and the height worked but the width didn’t. I ended up taking it out because there was no way to pull it out without gripping the back of the rack to prevent the rack from sliding forward. It ended up on another shelf.

Alright

The concept for this rack is great. I bought it so that my toddler can go and help himself easily to his puzzles, and put them away again. Idea was also to keep them nice and neat and upright. Problem is that it only fits certain Mellissa and Doug puzzles, and is pretty tiny. (I've bought the latches, and sound ones and they're too thick) It would be nice if it was perhaps designed to fit smaller/thinner ones at the top and chunkier ones at the bottom, for example. It's definitely over-priced for what it is. I'd love to have a few of them but definitely not at that price for what you get.

Tidy - sound puzzles will not fit

Keeps puzzles tidy but note that Melissa and Doug sound puzzles will not fit in this organizer as they are too thick. Will need to purchase a different storage solution for those.

Expensive and barely fits any Melissa & Doug puzzles

This puzzle rack is pretty expensive, even on sale, and barely fits any of Melissa & Doug's own puzzles! The bottom of the rack is also metal so it will scratch the surface of whatever furniture you place it on. Seriously, don't bother. Just use ziploc bags and designate a drawer "the puzzle drawer"
