Great Cards for the Vision Impaired
My husband is blind in one eye and very limited vision in the other. These cards enable us to do something together. My only criticism is that the clubs should be green and the diamonds should be blue. Green Clover. Blue Diamond. We consistently mix these two suits up.

Great for old eyes
These cards are great! We love the colors of each suit. Very easy to play various card games.

LOVE these cards!
Great cards with BOLD print great for those who usually need readers to play cards. Used for playing spades. All 4 of us loved using them!

Bicycle lo vision playing cards
I got these to try out when performing magic for those that have a very hard time reading regular printed playing cards. I was not disappointed with them at all.

Confusing
Half the cards have two colors on them, one color representing the original red or black, and also a new color for seniors. Sure, the print is big, and I found them useful, but I'm fifty five. My 85 year old mother found them annoying and confusing and wanted to return them.

Ever heard of the curb-cut effect?
If you’ll allow me to blatantly copy and paste from Wikipedia; “…the curb-cut effect is the phenomenon of disability-friendly features being used and appreciated by a larger group than the people they were designed for.” My eyesight is terrible, I was born with a genetic condition called ocular albinism that makes fine detail extremely difficult to see. A friend of mine has taken it on himself to teach us the game of rummy, a large part of which is looking across the table to see what’s been played. Reader, these cards are so legible I could play without my glasses! Moreover, everyone else agreed that it’s a much easier game to play with these lo-vision cards, a benefit to everyone regardless of disability. Strongly recommended!

My father doesn't like them
I bought these for my 87-year-old father who struggles to see traditional playing cards. I thought the large size would be a good thing. I didn't realize that (and it makes sense to me and my mom) that the large format would mean there wasn't really space for the symbol for the suit. So instead the manufacturer uses other colors than black and red. Senior citizens can be set in their ways, and so my dad didn't want to use them (after a few trial runs) because he just couldn't get used to seeing an A (ace) in blue. Sigh. I'm not going to return them and I'm hopeful he'll give them another try. But make sure the recipient is going to be okay with non-traditional colors for the suits before you buy these. Otherwise, I can say they are very durable and yet easy to "bridge" shuffle. They weren't too slick to hold and I thought they were perfect. But since he refuses to use them and they were for him, I'm not giving them the highest rating because they didn't fully meet his needs.

There are 4 coil outs not just 2
The size is great but they also changed the colours, I’m assuming that is to make it easier for the vision impaired. Bought them to play with my parents as their eyesight is not very good any longer…we all found the 4 colours very hard to get used to playing with. They also on the 2 new colours have the old colours also…I think to make it easier but again it just makes it more confusing. Would have been better to stick with the 2 original or if you’re going to mix it up then don’t put both colours on.

wouldn't recommend
Didn't realise that there would be 4 different colours for the suits. This made it even harder to use.
