I've been using Maxpedition bags for some years now. I'm a Prepper, and wanted the best bags for the job. These are it! I already have many of all different styles, and sizes, but this particular one (IMO) is one of the most all around useful for many different uses. I just picked up another Maxpedition Fliegerduffel, due to the accumulation of supplies & tools, over the last few years. Some I use with the dividers, and some I use without, these are very versatile bags, which is another plus to me, and what I look for in a bag, for my purposes. Everything about this bag is very heavy duty, from the material (very thick, ripstop nylon), to the oversized zippers. They have pockets just about everywhere you look, and most are very usable. If you fully pack this bag, some of the outer pockets are very hard to use, but packing this bag to it's fullest capacity, makes it extremely heavy, and not as mobile as it should be, so I never pack these bags to there fullest capacity. That leaves room enough to use all of the outer zippered pockets. These are an expensive bags, but I do think (in this particular situation), you really do get what you pay for. With Maxpedition bags, and especially this one, your getting top quality, and long life wear. This Fliegerduffel bag is extremely well padded, all around! Top, bottom and all 4 sides have a good amount of padding, without being to bulky, or cumbersome. The carrying options are another BIG plus for this bag! You have a choice of 3 carry ways. Over the shoulder, with a very good padded, and wide, shoulder strap. You can also just use the shorter handles that use Velcro to fasten them together, to side carry, like a tote, or a case. Then you also have the option to carry it as a backpack, which works very well with the already attached and again well padded and wide shoulder harness. I use this padded type for all my BOB needs, and I also use it's big brother,Maxpedition's Doppelduffel bag , bigger in size, and close to the same design, with a few better features. For the outdoors, in any conditions, I'd very HIGHLY recommend this bag to all who are looking for the features I described above! Very Tough, and will last, thats simply Maxpedition!
