Great pencil for weaker fine muscle control.

While it is more money due to being presharpened, these are well worth the money to me to be able to just throw the smaller box of 10 in my kids bag and go. He has weak fine motor skills in his hands and writes with a good amount of pressure. These last much longer before the lead breaks compared to other brands. I have bought the presharpened multiple times and have yet to see any with broken lead from shipping or any other problems. Highly recommend!!!!

Ticonderoga!

Ticonderoga is the only pencil/eraser worth it in a classroom. And as a teacher I can never have enough, this was a great buy.

The best pencil ever!

I’ve been hooked on Ticonderoga pencils for a long time! I won’t use a different brand if I can avoid it. I do dot to dot puzzles, and Ticonderogas are perfect. They hold a point well and have the perfect balance between hard and soft lead. My very favorite part, though, is the eraser. I hate it when an eraser smudges lead more than removes it. When doing puzzles, writing, or drawing, smudges quickly interfere with how it looks. Ticonderoga erasers remove the lead cleanly, leaving a clear space to use again. The only pencils that have a slight edge - maybe - over yellow Ticonderogas are the black ones. I buy both by the score.

Great pencils

This is great for making small indistinct marks on bits of paper, that days later you can struggle to figure out exactly what you were trying to express with such fervor. Also should you be wondering about your dental health or teeth spacing, if you bite down sufficiently hard on one of these it will leave a dental impression which will allow you to ponder the mysteries of the human body for hours while sitting at your desk pretending to work.

Best pencils ever!

Dixon Ticonderoga is the standard for pencils. Writes and sharpens well. Erases clearly and completely. Bought these for my students for testing and they love them because they didn’t have to spend time sharpening them!

Best Pencils on the Market!

These are the best pencils on the market; it's no wonder that schools prefer/ask for these on supply lists vs. generic. Also they sharpen very nicely.

Let the buyer beware.

Amazon lists this as: "Ticonderoga No. 2 HB Woodcase Pencils, Yellow, Pack of 10+2 (33892CB)" It's not. It is 33892, which is a package of 10 Ticonderoga No. 2 pencils. And they're sharpened, if that matters to you. It doesn't to me. 33892CB includes an additional two, unpainted pencils, and they are all unsharpened. Again, if that matters to you. (I spent lots of time in September's past sharpening pencils and pencil crayons (colored pencils) at the start of the school year. So I don't really care.) All of this is probably not a big deal considering that you get ten, real Ticonderoga No. 2 pencils, for four bucks. Which, for me, is outstanding value. It would have been even better value to get twelve pencils, hence the lower-than-five-star rating.

Worth the minimally extra cost.

I was so tired of pencils where the graphite was broken within the pencil, and I'd constantly resharpen for students. Switched to these, and life in a classroom is never peaceful, but it is better.

Ticonderoga pencils are great but packing/shipping broke most of them.

Ticonderoga pencils are our favourite. They are comfortable to grip, don't smudge, and sharpen well. BUT these packs of pencils must have been tossed around at the warehouse or during shipping because the graphite is shattered in the majority of the pencils. We've had to throw out far more than we have been able to use. Out of each 12 pack in the box, only two to five are usable.

These really ARE the BEST pencils

We were so sick of buying cheap pencils from the dollar store or Wal-Mart and having the leads broken. There's nothing worse than sharpening a pencil over and over and over and each time the lead busts without much effort. Long life to each of these pencils. Cheap pencils are no longer cheap when you have to keep sharpening/replacing. These are definitely worth every penny.

Best pencils EVER

As someone who uses a pencil for everything I have used a lot of pencils and these are far by the best. They do not break and sharpen easily. I'm so glad I found them.
