Caveat Emptor

The Good: Does what I wanted it to do, which is help out a saggy mattress I can't afford to replace. It's cheap(er) than most of the alternatives and arrived FAST. I ordered it on a Saturday and recieved it by Monday. It comes with a massive nylon carry bag, which will be pefect as a laundry bag since I don't intend to take this anywhere. And unlike some of the reviews there is no smell to the mattress, its cover or the carrybag even immediately after opening them. I'm not trying to discount those reviews, just saying I did not have that problem. The Bad: It comes vacuum packed and it takes a bit for it to "fluff" back up, I gave it a couple days like the instructions suggest but even now, if I say its two inches thick I'm being generous. Say instead it averages two inches thick, some spots are one inch, some are two and a half but NOWHERE can I find a thickness of three inches as the description claims. I would not recommend this for sleeping on a floor and it is rather bulky, even rolled up and vacuum packed, to take camping(I have a screen gazebo type tent that covers a 25 foot diameter octagon that takes up as much room as this thing rolled up). The memory foam is a thin veneer on top of regular low density foam, think of your sofa cushion but only about two inches thick. Overall: It gets four stars because it does work for me for the purpose I had in mind when I purchased it and there are no major drawbacks to my mind with it or how it functions for me. BUT had I purchased it for a camping pad or as a spare guest bed when all I have is floor space to offer, this would be getting zero stars.

Got this as alternative to air mattress, it comes with a nice bag for storage and it’s easy to sleep on even on the floor, it even fits my brother who is very tall

Helped me sleep with my neck herniated discs

I was injured and got herniated disc in three discs of my neck. For 1 1/2 years, I was unable to sleep because of the constant tossing and turning from the discomfort due to my neck (and consequently, my back). I spent $2000 buying a firmer mattress but that did not help. I ended up using a foam mattress from a cot I had that I placed on the floor to sleep on. Sleeping on the floor was better then the bed, but I was uncomfortable sleeping on my back for too long and on my sides because I could feel the floor. Then I decided to buy this gel foam lounger and what a difference! The discomfort in my neck and back is not 100% gone when I sleep on this, but I am finally able to go into a deep sleep because I don't feel the discomfort in my neck and back as much and I can lay on my back and sides without feeling the floor - all this has enabled me to get more hours of sleep and go into a deeper sleep (which I was unable to do for the past 1 1/2 years).

Good but not for prolonged use

I use this a couple times a week when my puppy wants to snuggle and I’m not ready to get up (she’s not allowed in the big person bed!). On occasion I’ve slept all night on it…I have back and hip issues which and I wake up achy if I sleep on this all night. Still comfortable but not a good idea for long term or everyday use.

Perfect Alternative to an Air Mattress or a Folding Mattress, with a Useful Storage Bag.

This roll-up mattress is an excellent buy. I wanted to maximize my living space so I really wanted to look into sleeping options that I could easily tuck away to storage. I looked into fold-up beds and those tri-fold mattresses but I was concerned that I would notice the dented folding lines while I slept, which has happened before on a tri-fold mattress. After clicking and clicking, I found this roll-up option that even came with a storage bag for free. I know this is supposed to be a guest bed use or just for an infrequent use, but because I traveled so often out of town for work, it ended up working out as a permanent bed solution for me for a few months. The memory foam is still about as firm as it originally was after about 3 months of nightly use, and I am about 110-120 lbs, so I would say this is of very durable quality--especially if you use it rarely as it was intended. I was also worried that I would have roll this up very tightly in order to make it fit into the storage bag, but you can actually roll this up very casually and it will still fit inside the provided bag just fine. :) One personal drawback for me that I knew was going to happen before I even purchased it: because it's only 3-inches in height, most fitted sheets will fit very loosely on it, since the sheets were designed to fit a much thicker mattress. It just doesn't look very presentable. I think I may have also read that the width isn't a true twin mattress width.. However, I knew what I was buying and I didn't really mind it. Another thing that may be a deal breaker for other shoppers is that the firmness is basically of a very dense mattress topper. Again, it's just a better option than an air mattress so I really didn't mind it. Overall, super affordable, quick and easy to store alternative to other temporary sleeping options. Very satisfied with my purchase.

Overall good beds.

First, these are perfect for any extra guests we have. These are not 3 inches thick, they seem to be the same size as the memory foam twin mattress that we have. These are memory foam but the dont completely contour to you body because they are still thin but that seems to be what makes them comfortable. We place them on our cushioned carpet and they are great for a good nights sleep. However I bought two, only one of them came with a carrying bag? Odd but I was shocked to even get a bag for them. Overall nice little beds to use for guests or for camping surely beats a blow up mattress and lasts longer too.
