From Skeptical to Thankful
I wasn't sure this mat would produce the kind of bubble power I was looking for. I even both an additional device, which I will be returning to Amazon unopened, to provide additional jet power and bubbles to my bath trying to imitate the jetted tub experience I enjoyed while vacationing at a friend's house. I saw the reviews about the suction cups not keeping the mat in place. I saw the video of the bubble action and felt I'd give it a try. Well, I'm incredibly happy I did make the purchase. Getting it going: Because of the less than stellar reviews, I decided to follow the instructions carefully. Super-clean tub with just enough moisture left behind to let the 19 suction cups of the mat grip the tub firmly. (There are 3 rows of suction cups running down the length of the entire mat.) Connected the hose to the mat and the "main unit" machine (the pump) while unplugged, and filled the tub with hot water. I briefly held the mat down at the foot end where the hose connects and the water rushes out of the facucet quite forcefully, and let go once there was more water above the mat than under. I connected the pump to power, set the power switch to "I" (which is remote control or manual power), and it didn't come on. So I switched the power to "II" (which is remote control only) and it came on with the remote. I've since found that once triggered by the remote, "I" works manually as well. Using it: The blue discs that generates the bubbles do not feel comfortable when you stand on them, but they become unnoticeable when sitting or resting your torso on them in the water. I wisely only filled the tub just shy of halfway full before stepping in. It turns out that the low setting was powerful enough for my needs because once your body starts to block the bubbles coming out of some of the discs, it causes even bigger bubbles to come out of the other discs. I tried the hi setting, and wow! The bubbles and pressure were enough to make me float (and that's not easy) and "push" the water, rather than simply bubbly it. I did add epsom salt to the water, but that should not have made a difference to the intensity. On hi, water did splash out of the tub, so I'm glad 1) I followed their instructions to keep the machine far away from the tub, and 2) I ended up having to use the remote instead of trying to deal with the power switch manually, because then I would have kept the machine too near to the tub and possibly get it dangerously wet. I cannot say if the price is ideal; I paid $90+ for my model PHSPAMT22. But I have no regrets. The mat combined with the epsom salts massaged away the aches, pain and stiffness of 6 hours of driving just before. I'll be keeping an eye out for the price going down during any of Amazon's sales to make it a gift for relatives. But follow the instructions to make it all worthwhile folks. Enjoy it if you get one!

Great Machine...but DO NOT USE WITH BUBBLE BATH!! ;)
I have sooo much to say!! I have read a lot of these reviews so I basically knew a couple things up front: 1) If the floor of your tub is in any way textured, the suction cups won't really all stick, and 2) If you stay in it long enough, the water will cool off quick due to the cold air bubbles. Check and check! Why didn't any of you momofomos warn me about the dangers of adding bubble bath, though? My friend, Tamara (yep, using her real name), who recommended the device to me didn't warn me, either, so now I think differently about everybody. I had to climb from out of the wall of bubbles to call her so she'd know what to tell the paramedics if it came to that. Anyway, I'm going to do what nobody else felt was pertinent and that's state loudly: DO NOT USE WITH MORE THAN A TABLESPOON OF BUBBLE BATH! That might even be too much. The pic I added is at half mass of what it got to before I could turn it off. What was supposed to be a relaxing experience was borderline terrifying and nobody wants to die of asphyxiation by bubble. To make matters worse, all of this happened on regular speed. I tunneled through to the remote stuck to the ledge of the tub to try to turn it off and it goes QUICKLY to jet propulsion!! There is no hesitation in the switch in force. Stopping it takes non-panicked precision. One too many presses and it's back on regular and there's no getting to stop without once again going to mega-blaster. Sure enough, there's the faintest amount of texture on my tub floor so only four of them stuck, but that didn't matter because body weight holds it down well enough. And I only bathe in scalding water so I didn't experience the fast cooling down of the water effect. That's mostly because: 1) Due to bubble wall building, I couldn't run it longer than two minutes at a time, 2) When you're in a heightened state of alarm, it felt like the hot water got hotter, and 3) If I'd have just let the bubbles run amok, they'd have flowed down my street and scared the locals. Therefore, I just feel like if you start off with water that's adult female hot (hotter than the level of heat men can withstand) and not toddler warm, you should be able to enjoy a decent period of action without losing heat. Or leave enough room to keep adding new hot water. I'd be snippy and day, "Duh, it's not rocket science," but shoot, I almost died behind two capfuls of Dr. Teal's bubble bath so maybe there is a science course requirement after all. That didn't come in the box or manual, either. And I read the manual because it told me the remote doesn't work unless the power is turned on at the machine. Alas, I should have known better but I fought the hard fight and survived to write this warning...ahem, review. What I did experience was pretty amazing...the bubbles were strong on regular and very strong on 2nd speed. It's easy to set up. My bathroom's kinda large so I had to run an extension cord but the cord on the machine itself is nice and long. There is a reset/surge button on the plug, so that's a great feature. The mat is easy to spray to clean. I already feel like, sans bubble bath next time, I will be able to more thoroughly enjoy this product. There's nowhere to go but up from here, anyway, right?? I am giving it a 4.5 (4 on the Amazon scale) out of 5. I'm sleepy right now and I'm not sure if it's from coming off my panic high or the fact that the time it was running, it actually worked out the little muscle kinks from my workout. I bought this as a surprise gift for my hubby for when he gets home from doing the hard work of Hurricane Ian Recovery & Restoration in FL. I was just trying it out to know all the ins and outs. And now you know, too!! I recommend this product. Be careful removing the mat where there is strong suction so you don't tear the mat. And remember, don't use too much bubble bath.

Not a lot of things really impress me to much .. but
This is one of the few items I ever went to write a review on. Can I just say.. I’m so happy that I went through with this purchase. This thing is powerful! You wouldn’t think so until you actually get in the bath. Those bubbles really get intense. I honestly think the lowest setting could be the best setting for me. The only really I gave 4 is because it doesn’t really suction to the tub at all. But once you sit on it, it’s a wrap.

Soaking tub to Private Spa!
Excellent for transforming a soaking tub to a more exciting and therapeutic bubble spa! Very impressed with the power and quality of bubbles and overall experience. Be sure to use the additional suction cup pads that come inside the box. Mat will not stick with suction cups that are manufactured on the mat. Only use a little bit of bubble bath or bath additive!

Jets
The spa has EXCELLENT jets but the mat just does NOT stay down in the tub. I still enjoyed myself!

Must have!
Love this product! Will be using this for a long time coming! However it doesn’t suction to a textured tub. But if you get in the tub before you turn on the device, it works just as well!

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G, it really feels like a spa and I'm SO relaxed :)
The media could not be loaded. I had this item in my wish list since 2 or 3 years. I was tempted to buy it soooo many times, but I was sure this would be a waste of money. I WAS SO WRONG. As many people here had problems with it, I was extra careful and read all the instructions. THIS THING IS (almost) PERFECT. The only thing that is slightly annoying is the sound of the power unit, but the bubbles makes so much noise that I almost don’t hear the machine eheh A real spa is very noisy too anyway… The blue disc were not uncomfortable for me, and after 20 minutes the water wasn’t cold at all. If it is cold for you, just use warmer water and it'll feel good. I honestly felt like if I was in a spa and I’m not joking. The bubbles, even at the low setting, are powerful. I felt SOOOOO relaxed (body AND mind) after my first use that I wished I could have go to bed after eheh For 130$, this is amazing. The only concern I have is if this machine will work for many years or not… but looking at the machine, the tube and the mat, I think this is good quality. I’ll take good care of it so I can be sure to be able to use it for a very long time! ????

This was all that I dreamed it would be!
I bought this to go in a portable tub and it worked really well. It's quite powerful, and was easy to set up. I had no issues with the remote, and as a precaution, I'm keeping it in a ziploc bag so that water damage doesn't become an issue. I can see how this would float up in a regular tub if the suction cups didn't stick, but in the cylindrical, portable semi-inflatable tub I have, my weight kept it down. It sounds like a small vacuum cleaner, but the sound didn't bother me. A regular jacuzzi is fairly loud anyway. I was able to watch a movie with the volume a little higher than normal, and hear it without issue, so it can't be that loud. It was really fun to add bubble bath, which is something that shouldn't be done with real jacuzzi tubs. It only took about 20 seconds on the low setting to generate a crazy amount of bubbles, so don't turn it on and walk away! I can't comment on the warmth, as the water in the tub was quite hot. The air coming out of the jets didn't feel cold at all so it makes me wonder if other people who've commented on this were in cold rooms, or if the water I filled the tub with was hot enough that it didn't matter. At any rate, I'm very happy with this product! I shipped quickly and the price was reasonable for what it does.

A solid 3 stars.
As a veteran bath spa user I say this product is ok and a solid 3 or 2.8. Not great and not bad. Cons: They only provide 8 suction cup adhesive disks so all the rest of the suction cups won't stick to your tub well. Pity. It's fairly light weight plastic so it tends to slip, slide and float even when your on it, annoying. The old ones had a hard plastic base so it stayed in place. Timer is only 20 mins????. And well frankly I'm concerned adding super hot water to such a flimsy plastic pad so I waited until it was covered with water before I cranked up my hot water. Pros: Obviously more environmentally friendly than the older ones so kudos for that. Power is quite compared to the old ones and using the remote in 3 click mode varies between low, medium and high settings so you don't have to. Massage level is good but hardly fantastic. Maybe because I've used many different bath spas I'm using overall level of performance. I'd have to say this, if you're younger like under 35, this is a great product for your first one, but if you're older like me it's just ok in price and performance. I personally don't expect it to last a year so time will tell. And rookies, only a few drops of bubble bath or you soon will be lost in the bubbles. I would buy this for one of my adult children if that helps review wise.

My Balls where like popcorn with this thing!
If this even only last me 12-20 times I will buy another to replace it as this pennies compared to a hot tub and this is the same price for an hour and a half massage and this DOES more in 5-10 mins then any other RMT I go through. Just got out of tub, jumped in bed to write this as if u have any pain this will help, just add salts! Wow, this changes things for me. I really am the person who needs a hot tub but this year I’ll still be saving as this product is definitely going to do the job for me in the mean time. Here’s why this is not even comparable to a hot tub and is even better in it’s own way. First off, a hot tub worth buying is 10k, and that’s basic entry plug in play. This product is the closest you’ll ever get. I’m a bigger guy, 6ft 250 lbs and boy does this thing make the fat jiggle, honestly more aggressive then a hot tub and I know my hot tubs. The jets on a hot tub will get in deeper and feel hotter as this pushes room air vs warm water. You will notice the cold air coming from the bubbles but it will feel more like a slight burning feeling like when your hand is freezing cold and you touch warm water but that warm water feels like boiling water, yes you will get this feeling but honesty this is NOT a turn off enough as l bath salts/ oils can kind help if you even notice. With bath salts /oils, you will feel drained like coming from a good massage and or hot tub sesh. Make sure u keep the top of your water 3 -4 inches below the rim of the whole tub. Also make sur you dont lay this running up the back, have it completely flat or the bubbles will run up your back then overflowing the tub quickly which reminds me of my mess. I’ll update after use 20 if it last. Came better then what I was thinking it would after reviews. Yes it’s plastic, and they should have double the thinkness on the air bag. Also this think comes with a total of three tiny air filters that are easy to put in at the one end of the hose. Don’t worry about replacements, just make sure now debris around the unit. Also you may want earplugs as some may not find the loud ness of the air bubbles. It’s comparable to a law-more I’d say damaging wise. Buying a back up at this price $120 Honestly, go buy it. -Cheers

Smoother, Stronger, Quieter than i thought ! Its a home Spa :)
I Must admit after reading lots of reviews, i was a bit afraid it wouldn't be what im looking for ! But at my surprise, it is beyong what ive wanted ! I do have a large deep bath and i will probably buy another one in the future to evenly distribute the bubbling ! i feel like in a spa in my own bath ! A quick beer, hot water, both windows open besides me and oh my gawd this things is GREAT ! I LOVE IT ! The bubble are strong, the machine is not that loud, i was afraid of that reading the reviews but it sound like a air dryer on low ! Ive put it on the ground near the bath podium and honestly once in the bath i barely ear it, im just hearing the bubble forming from the bath ! One thing i didnt expect is the "program fonction" wich automatically progressively lower and rise the speed of the blower to give completely different feeling and power :) All is not perfect, the only thing i would change is give a 3rd speed lower than the actual low and for the love of god, i would remove this 20 minutes limit per cycle ! I know for some it is easy to start it back up, but i need to drop the tablet, and reach for the remote and align it with the IR of the machine on the floor at my feet wich kinda sucks ! All in all, i love it and cant wait for another revision ! :D I clearly recommend
