The Perfect choice

The media could not be loaded. I was looking to go back to glass after swapping to lava rocks and had one explode. I was concerned about size as I didn’t want glass mini chips. These are true to size, not wimpy. The color is vibrant through and through, a true blood red not orange not pink. I wanted to be sure to be able to cover the ring so I ordered the 25lb bag and it is just the right amount. I rinsed them in a colander before putting in to get the dust off. Looks great lit!!!

Very pretty

They make our fire table so much fancier. They do turn black after a long fire, but turn back to red when they cool down.

Nice large chunks of black dragon glass!!

I recently bought a firepit with a 20x20 opening. I did the math and it turns out I needed 20 lbs of fire glass (10 blue + 10 black) to fill the pit and have just enough to cover the gas fire ring. I decided on getting a nice bright reflective cobalt top layer on top of a dark base and these pieces of glass fit the bill. I'm a Game of Thrones fan, so when I saw amazon was selling obsidian (black) "dragon glass" I knew this was what I wanted for my base. They look beautiful once they are washed and dried and the larger black chunks (many of them are 3/4") compliment the blue glass on top (smaller 3/8" to 1/2" pieces) I cleaned them buy using a plastic colander on top of an empty 5 gallon paint bucket. Used my garden hose with spray handle to clean the glass (I did 3.5 lbs of glass at a time then put laid them out to dry in the hot sun on my asphalt driveway on top of cardboard..then instead of dumping them on the firepit, I placed the chunks one handful at a time (wearing heavy duty latex lined wool gardening gloves) so that way any remaining tiny shards/slivers don't end up on the pit.

Not Red when flaming

I was very excited to get this color. I have had blue glass & always wanted the look of red glass glowing. Unfortunately when flaming the glass is get dark & doesn’t resemble a red glowing at all. It works for the heat as usual, however not what I had hoped to see.

Perfect for my Landscaping project!

This blue tumbled Landscaping Glass by Dragon Glass is absolutely amazing. This glass turned my Landscaping project into something incredible. It really looks awesome, and I am going to order more of it. I have so many Landscaping projects plans right now, and I am trying to find ways to incorporate more of the dragon glass. I love it because it is durable, beautiful, and safe. When i got it, I put several pieces in my hand, and tested it. I have kids and I do not want to but a dangerous material in my yard. I handled it with my bare hands and I did not get any cuts at all. It is great for all climates. It provides adequate drainage, when it rains. The color has not faded at all in the sun, and looks as vibrant as when I first put it in the yard. It can be used anywhere in place of other landscaping materials, such as rocks, gravel, or mulch. It stays in place. I really like this product.

Not Real Dragon Glass!

This is an excellent product for decorating beside a pool of the same color. However, I thought it would also be useful to kill White Walkers, but sadly it did not turn out to be as such. One evening after finishing off some kidney pie, I looked out and saw one of those evil things swimming in my pool, turning it an icy blue color. When I ran out to run him off, he only turned to me and growled. So, I grabbed a handful of the Medium Royal Blue Dragon Glass, threw it at him, and screamed in victorious glee. But when I looked back at him, I noticed it had only made him angry. He touched the water in my pool, froze it, and then ran off to ruin someone else's backyard. Don't depend on this knock-off Dragon Glass to kill White Walkers!!!

Looks good in the fire pit until you use it.

UPDATE AGAIN: The black goes away once the glass cools. UPDATE: I ran my fire pit for the first time since adding the glass for about an hour this evening and once I turned it off I realized all the red pieces of glass that made contact with the flame are black now. You can see in the phot that the clear glass is clean as can be. Definitely disappointed. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I like the color although it’s a little darker than I thought I’d be. Also it’s not quite as perfect as the pictures. Most of the pieces have good sides and bad sides. Bad sides being little pit marks and maybe some contamination.

Beautiful colors, let test the flame!

After washing the glass to get the dust/haze off it was a beautiful collage of colors. Will have to see how it holds up to the flame after using on our fire. I layered lava rocks underneath the glass to make the 10lbs go farther. If the glass holds up I will have to buy another bag!

Heavy Metal

Usual price was 20 higher when bought on a discount. Still the most expensive shards you can get. FIRST loved them, then hated them, then loved them more. Red goes into black under heat, but then the creases go red, outside shards that dont get enough heat are red. So overall nice transition. Keep heat crazy. Vs regular lava rock, no comparison. Rinse in water before using and they will shimmer nicely under heat. I like a hellish look so it's perfect for me but if you need clean look then go for cheaper and smaller crystals with mirrored sides. White, light blue or lite brown.

Glass is so beautiful at night. The fire makes it sparkle
