It's overpriced and of poor quality, but it makes coffee.

IN SHORT, It makes coffee, BUT these coffee makers are stupidly simple machines with no expensive parts. There is shockingly little to drip coffee makers and for what I paid this is a cheap piece of equipment, poorly made, and overpriced. I had always associated Hamilton Beach with quality in the past and thought this was a good deal, boy was I wrong. But don't get me wrong, it does make coffee, it works, you just aren't getting any value for your dollar in my opinion. WHAT I HAD BEFORE: I had a great Mr. Coffee that worked like a charm for the better part of a decade with the hardest water I have ever seen in my life. So bad that I am constantly buying vinegar to remove scale from my drinking glasses. The plastic was strong and thick(likely glass fiber reinforced), very sturdy, no slack in the hinges of the lid and drip head mechanisms, it felt very well made and lasted me a very long time under brutal conditions for this type of coffee maker. The Carafe was thick glass with a very sturdy, firmly attached handle, and I was very happy. Sadly, being in my last year of college and just needing something, anything, to make coffee I am stuck with a cheap coffee maker now until I graduate in a few months and can afford another proper, quality, coffee maker. THIS COFFEE MAKER: 1.) This coffee maker feels like it is made of the thinnest, cheapest plastic they could get away with. The only mold marking was >PP

Great coffee

I replaced a $90. Coffee pot that I returned from another store. It was too complicated to use and the coffee was not hot enough! This one is simple, coffee tastes awesome and is nice and hot. Shuts off automatically and takes up less space. AND WAS HALF THE PRICE!!! You gotta love AMAZON!

"Bold" choice means I use a bit less ground coffee to make a good brew.

Thinner, cheaper plastic parts than my old Hamilton Beach. I hope this one holds up as well as that one did: more than 30 years. Otherwise it is excellent value for a good price.

Very affordable and so far reliable! Been using out of the box since June 8th.

Works perfectly. Makes coffee smoothly. And a huge fan of the auto brew feature. Not much extra bells and wisles otherwise but makes up for with a very affordable price while still brewing an excellent cup of Joe! Don't really need the extra features myself anyway. And don't see myself wanting to spend more on a machine when this works perfectly and has so far been reliable. I've been using it out of the box since June 8th, had to get a new one during lockdown I tend to pack a lot of grinds, and it still had yet to back up. Or include any errors. Something my old machine was prone to and was more expensive. Wouldn't have been able to survive going back to work after lockdown! And didn't have a huge budget at all, as I wasn't working. Also love having a brew auto timed for before I wake up! Very happy I stumbled upon this machine and I'm very satisfied with my purchase!

Coffee Maker works Great

Makes coffee great and fast ( if kept clean with the odd cup of vinger run through it ). ONLY objection is the warming plate that the coffee pot sits on almost immediately looked rusty after very little use. You can spend allot of time cleaning it everyday or the mfg could of made the heating plate out of a better material to avoid the rust look and stay clean.. > Note; I didn't say the black look. I said clean look. I would pay more for a porcelain heat plate and not look rusty
