Attaching the Vya Pro Taillight to the bike for the first time, I ruined the light. Here's how:. The light slips into the mount equally easily in either of two orientations, call it 0 degrees or 180 degrees. Only one orientation, call it 0 degrees, allows the light to be twisted 90 degrees to lock it in. The manual states that you achieve this by "aligning the marks on the light and the mount". To be honest, I had not taken this in, and had encountered no difficulties trying it out at home before going out to the bike. Just my luck. Building on my ignorance that mounting was orientation-sensitive, my lack of experience led me to apply what was obviously excessive force attempting to lock the light into the mount. As some force is necessary even in the right orientation, it wasn't obvious where 'excessive' began. So, tweak request: Make sure that it is only possible to fully insert the light in the single correct orientation. Also, as noted elsewhere, having the bare contacts exposed when the light is not mounted seems like an inordinate wear-and-tear exposure. Seems kinda like design for disposability. Other than those points, I like this product. Just giving 3 stars because stars are a blunt instrument.

Great safety product!
My fifth grader bikes to and from school and in the past I would Make sure his lights were on before he left home, and often he’d forget to turn them off at school, or if he did, he’d forget to turn them on for the ride home. These auto on/off lights work great, seem to be weather tight and the USB recharging is quick and a charge lasts quite a while. The charging blades seem a little fragile but I’ve been careful with them and have not had any problems. That’s the only reason these don’t get five stars. Brightness is good at night, and even during the day the brightness and flashing patterns are eye catching. I feel much better about him riding alone now that he has these.

Can't turn them off
while the idea of them automatically turning on when you're moving is nice, it means they're pretty much impossible to turn off. if you thought they turned off when you removed them from their mounts, you'd be wrong. too bad, because otherwise they're great - bright and easy to take with you

Great lights, they're on while you ride.
Update: Light & Motion replaced my headlight and the new gets about 3 hours, which is great. 5 stars. These lights are great, I love the look and they work as described except for the battery life of the headlight. I get less than 2 hours of the headlight with a full charge. I ride at 6 pm and home by 8 pm and my last two rides the headlight was dead before I could get safely home.

Easy, Simple, Bright--great for commuting and trail riding
These lights are very simple to use. The mounting and charging system makes them very easy to plug into power adapters and pull off of the bike when I am leaving it locked up outside the coffee shop or grocery store. Run time and brightness is exceeding my expectations and I love the fact that I don't need to worry about whether my tail light is on. It just is! Would definitely recommend picking up a set of these.

No buttons, cant change any blinking mode, your stuck with the random blinks, if any at all
Well I should have gotten the Cygolite or Bontragger version of this thing. The front light sucks it randomly does its little flash blinking sometimes every 10 seconds, sometimes not at all. There is no logic to the flashing, it doesn't flash enough for me and theres no buttons to change its mode....There are no flash modes, your stuck with the default. Its encapsulated in epoxy...I should have gotten the Bontragger Ion. I ride an e-bike so i'm going fast, I want more frequent high power flashes! It also embarrassingly lights up randomly when I'm carrying it thru the office to recharge it, since there is no on/off button. Jossle your bike just slightly, put something in a bag or adjust a seat and both taillight and headlight go off....Annoying This auto motion detect crap is a FAIL, wonder why none of their competitors do it.......Because consumers are annoyed by it. Embarrassed that I spent so much on these overpriced lights! Will never consider Light and Motion products again.

when product package sealed there is a opening at the bottom.
when I received the package product box was open.shipping box was fine.One small screw missed from the package.I checked inside the shipping box but there is no any screw. This screw missed before the shipment.Other than that everything fine light working properly.
