Solid lightweight U-Lock
This is a good lightweight U-Lock. It's not perfect, but it's pretty good. A few notes. - The "LITE" label seems very silly. Why advertise that it's lightweight. Luckily this came off instantly with a tiny bit of acetone / nail polish remover. - This is on the small side of U-locks. I've found that I can generally lock to most things by going around my rim and tire through the rear triangle and to a solid object (Sheldon Brown's method) with my large 55mm wide tires, but on some objects it's a bit awkward. If I just go around my steel frame tube, then I can lock to many things easier. - My wide tires (55mm wide) press the two legs of the "U" apart when I put it over the tire and it is difficult to install the crossbar. Once I figured this out, it is not a big deal and I can gently squeeze the legs back together with my hand to install the crossbar. But it was very frustrating before I figured this out and I just couldn't get the crossbar on.

Great little secure lock
I bought this for its light weight and in this department it does not disapprove. I wish it came with a frame mount like the others, but its lightness makes it possible to just clip it around the frame or handlebars. One issue I run into all the time is the key getting stuck. I'm not sure why it keeps happening but it's really annoying to spend upwards of 1 minute trying to lock it when it should take 5s. And it happens with remarkable frequency. There's definite a design flaw to be looked at here. As far as size, I am almost never able to put my bike *in* the racks. I always have to put my bike on the outside and line my frame up right next to a tube I can attach to. So far this hasn't been an issue.

Nice size U Lock for my needs, but problems with the cylinder on the lock I received.
This lock is exactly what I need, but the lock I received from Amazon today had a cylinder that operates very difficultly. Kryptonite says the lock is a new design, and I wonder if they have all the bugs out yet. At one point the key would only go in half-way and I could see that the back layers of the cylinder were out of line with the outer layers. I don't know how many layers there are, but since the key would only go in half-way there was no way to turn the back layers so they would line up with the outer layers. Finally, after turning the key back and forth very gently for about ten minutes the layers lined up and the key would go in all the way. Unfortunately, the key continued to meet resistance as it turned in the cylinder and I had to ask Amazon for a replacement. I would not trust the lock I received to operate properly away from home. I have several other Kryptonite locks and the keys all turn very freely in the cylinders. I wonder if I got a bad lock or if Kryptonite is going to have problems with this new design. Update: Looking at the lock further, I realized the black housing that rotates to cover the keyhole was also operating very difficultly. As I tuned the housing I saw fibrous plastic shavings visible under the edge of the housing around the keyhole. I removed several shavings with tweezers, and as I turned the cover back and forth more shavings worked their way out around the keyhole. As I pulled them out the keyhole cover began to rotate more easily. All of the shavings in the attached photo came from under the keyhole cover of the lock! If any of the shavings found their way down into the cylinder while the lock was being assembled, or when it was bounced around during shipping, that could explain why the cylinder is difficult to turn and the layers of the cylinder sometimes get out of line with each other as the key is inserted or removed from the lock. Further Update: Today, while waiting for Amazon's replacement lock to arrive, I looked again at the lock. Looking at the keyhole with a strong flashlight it appears the design of the metal body of the lock includes a narrow split that extends from the keyhole toward the black plastic end of the lock. I can't see how far the split extends, but I can guess that if it has sharp edges, and if the rotating black keyhole cover is shaped too tightly around the lock body, or if the keyhole cover has an uneven underside, the action of rotating the cover back and forth to uncover and recover the keyhole could actually cause the sharp edges of the split in the lock body to make the shavings I found. If any of the shavings work their way into the cylinder that, in turn, could cause the difficult cylinder operation I encountered. Final Update: One comment asked if the replacement lock had the same problem - it did not! I am happy with the replacement lock and so far it has worked fine.

mediocre quality lock mechanism
I like the size and weight of the "Lite" version of the Kryptonite U-lock, but on receiving it, I am disappointed by the very mediocre quality of the lock mechanism. It is often hard to insert the key all they way and requires quite a bit of wiggling the key around. And then it is also often hard to turn the key once it is fully inserted and also requires some wiggling. Makes for a less than smooth and satisfying experience. This is not a cheap lock. Disappointed that they skimped on quality of lock mechanism.

A bit small for my small bike
I watched a youtube review and this looks very sturdy. The frame of my bike and wheels are very thin, so I thought this would fit. It did fit both the frame and back wheel, BUT only when attached to a thin pole. I tried this on the regular bike stands and the pole took about half of the space and only left enough space for the frame to be locked. You might need to use a chain lock with this. It comes with several keys so that's very nice.

so far so good.
I have 4 bikes. my evolution 5 was my carry on for everything. now i use this one for on the go. I don't use it over night. just for bars and running into stores. All in all it is good so far. I bought a used one for cheaper and it is fine like wine. A little lighter than my evolution five. does not fit as well with the dimensions like the five but just have to adjust or find another place to lock. I live in NYC.

Portable tiny bicycle lock
I like it because it is small and light.

Good sturdy lock however too small for me
Good sturdy lock, lighter than most secured U lock out there in the market. However this lock is too small for me - if there is something bigger I would love this product.

Packs a punch with the small size
The lock really is small - be aware before buying. I regularly have issues with trying to make it hug both my bike frame and the bike rack/pole etc, but the fact that I can pocket it anytime, weights 1.5 lbs and is still Gold Secure compensates for the extra effort. Eventually I always manage to find a position to make it work; I use it together with a Kryptonite cord for the helmet, bike bag or something else, and attached the lock to my bike’s frame with velcro to prevent rattling.

for extra safety, lightweight
I carry it on me sometimes for extra safety. It is lightweight and fits on my bag. Had some trouble with the lock the first couple of times because I wasn't used on it. I don't know how safe it is and I wouldn't like to find out either.

So easily cut - did not protect anything
Everything was fine with it until someone decided to cut it and stole my scooter. I really wasn’t away for long and it was in the middle of the day in a street with passage… must have been very easy to cut. I thought I’d bought something serious but clearly not

Good lock. kind of pricey
Bought the “mini” which doesnt have a mount when it waz on sale (60$~). it came with 3 keys, one had a nice litte flash light on it. never tried it yet. the U lock is kind of small but I know some might appreciate that. the lack of mount was a bit upsetting but its okay. the smallness i think will prove a bit difficult when i want to lock the frame and wheel to an object, but i manage. “so far no one has stolen my bike” and im not sure how well the kryptonite warranty will hold up but im hoping i dont have to do that. this will work well if you want to lock up for a couple hours in a not so high bike crime area. 10/10
