Strong, sturdy, and compact
The lock is a beast. It’s super strong but not too bulky, allowing me to lock up my motorcycle easily without carrying around a long, heavy chain to unravel and hook through the wheel. I use other On Guard products to protect my other bikes, so I know they’re strong and capable at thwarting would-be bike thieves. The one thing that irks me about this lock is it’s not a spring latch that snaps into place, releasing the key when the latches are engaged. I have to insert the U-shaped bar into the body of the lock, then turn the key to lock it. I know I know, first-world problems—boo hoo hoo. I’m just saying, the spring latch would make this better, that’s all.

DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT buy this lock unless you want to experience a jammed up lock.
I have had the Kryptonite lock for over 15 years and never had a problem. Since my kryptonite lock is very worn from over a decade of usage and I read decent review amid a couple of red flag reviews on this OnGuard lock so I took a chance on the lock. Big, BIG mistake, I bought this lock at the end of July and today is November 4th. I went to try unlock my bike that's chained to a sign post and the lock would not go all the way into the keyhole. I tried with all kinds of tricks from youtube, WD40, jiggle jiggle, nothing. The key just won't go in. I was standing on the sidewalk googling all kinds of ways to open this lock and discovered many issues with this lock being jammed up for no reason. I went to get a massive bolt cutter trying to cut my chain but the chain's edge was square so the bolt cutter failed. I had to leave my bike and went home by train. Tomorrow I have to go buy a battery operated grinder to grind the chain and hopefully the chain will come off. This is the worst lock. Not even 4 months and the lock already jammed up. Do yourself a favor and avoid the kind of grief that I am having from this lock. Go buy some other lock for your vehicle. I finally managed to cut the lock off and free up my bike on the next day. I did it using a saw and a rough graphite sawtooth. (as seen in picture) It took me an hour to get through this lock with pedestrian disturbing me constantly asking if that was in fact my bike I was trying to free up from the sign post.

An Incredible Lock - OnGuard Rocks
I purchased several of these locks and they are on the top of the most protective locks out there. Thick, 4 locking pins on the shackle, 5 keys, and so far very reliable. I have many OnGuard locks and chains - the customer service has been great. It's compact but fits most lock up cables and larger chains (10mm and larger - just check the measurements). If you are locking up a Scooter or Motorcycle I HIGHLY recommend the combination lock and chain - The Onguard 8017LPT - For my scooter the lock is perfect - it's hard to get a chain through the tire rim and it provides a medal shaft plus the "O" ring at the end of the chain extends the length (although I wish it was 1 foot longer once in a while) - just check on a motorcycle to make sure the head of the lock can't go through your spoke openings.

The last lock you'll need (unless you lose it -- see review)
I had a previous version the OnGuard bike lock, but, being a silly boy, left it on the fender of my bike and drove off. (Oops.) This lock is even better designed than the last one. Good luck, crooks, if you think you can break this one.

Hefty well made lock
I hope thieves perceive this lock as I did - I would go elsewhere to steal, this is too much work. Great key service also Feels more secure than the equivalent kryptonite lock We shall see how much.

Onguard Lock
A great lock for my Electric Scooter. With the Onguard chain, I feel safe locking up anywhere! I had trouble with some of the smaller cables and locks, so the Onguard was a good investment!

Muy grande, grueso y de buena calidad.
El candado está muy grande, es pesado, es muy grueso y me da la impresión que a los rateros no les gustará ver puesto ese candado en tu moto, porque dudo mucho que logren abrirlo o romperlo. Se ve de muy buena calidad, ojalá sea funcional por mucho tiempo.
