I never leave my board without this lock
Great little lock, gives me the peace of mind to relax while in the lodge. Nice and light fits in a pocket or hooked onto your jacket/pants easily. If you really wanted to break it you probably could but it’s more of a deterrent to the opportunity thieves.

Too small, too flimsy
I can't see this lock being any kind of security lock. It's too flimsy and you could probably break it open easily. Maybe for skis at a resort it's ok, but definitely not for a bike.

Good lock but seems a bit flimzy

Does the job, value for the money
Easy to use, small enough to fit in a ski jacket pocket. Can manage to secure two sets of skies at the same time. Wish the case was metal and not hard plastic. Someone had their skis stolen literally on the opposite side of the rack where mine were locked on my last ski trip - real life story.

Can be used on several other things... Like aquariums
You get what you pay for, and for the money, it isn’t a bad product. The locking mechanism isn’t as strong as I’d like it to be, but it does the job. What I do like is the versatility. It can be used on pretty much anything. I use mine to keep my aquarium doors locked together, so I can keep my daughter out of the fish supplies (see pictures).

Easy to set, works as expected, won't stop determined thief
Bought this as a theft deterrent for my new snowboard. It was easy to set the combo and after 5 days on the mountain, so far so good. The retract mechanism works well, though I did have to fiddle with it a couple times. The wire isn't super long and it works just fine on the standard ski racks at most resorts (I run the wire through the a binding and around the rack). Anyone with decent wire cutters could get this off pretty quickly, but hopefully it'll deter the random passerby who might otherwise decide to snag that sweet board that nobody seems to be watching. Gives me a little more peace of mind when I go into the lodge, that's about it.

Good compromise for portability and security. Puts off a thief in many (but not all) situations.
It's chunky but I haven't been able to find a similar design that's smaller and highly-rated; I don't think that technology exists yet. This lock is a decent compromise between portability (as regards size, lightness in weight at 88g), convenience and security. Acceptable enough size and weight for a handbag or medium- or large-sized EDC (everyday carry). The lock has a tiny built-in carry loop. Setting a new code is straightforward. Instructions are included. There are 10,000 combinations of four numbers when numbers are used multiple times in a combination; there are 5,040 combinations of four numbers when numbers are used only once. Therefore the lock's secure, but of the lock and the cable it's the cable that's the less secure. This lock's not for securiing items in unbusy public locations or anywhere remote or left for ages, which favour thieves with tools. I already own a fairly small tool that would cut this cable. I don't use it to secure my bicycle or gold bullion chest. I use it to attach my bag to my chair in a cafe or library. I'm pleased with this lock. Decent price. It works. It's easy to use. But it is not the ultimate in security and shouldn't be expected to be.

Light, portable bike lock deterrent....
This is obviously just a deterrent for when you’re out for a ride and having a cafe stop. It will in no way stop anyone from nicking your bike but will make them think twice and go for one which isn’t locked (thieving scum)... It is light, easy to use and so far reliable- have used on 10 or so rides so far. For the price, weight and deterrent factor it’s a winner... Please do not use this as your commuter lock!!!

Good cheap deterence.
Measures 9.5cm high (+1cm for the protruding metal pin) x 6.5cm x 2cm. Wire description is accurate at 90cm and looks to be 2.4mm diameter plastic coated wire as described. My scales make the weight to be 89.6 grams. Bought for skis and this lock appears to be absolutely identical to the far more expensive ones in all but the colour of the plastic. The fact that it is transparent is not important as you cannot see the pins of the lock and although an opaque one may give the impression of being stronger and less 'plasticky' the plastic it is made from feels strong and does not flex at all when squeezing it. Yes if you smashed it with a rock a couple times it may open but then any lock is really only to deter opportunistic thieves from walking off quickly and quietly with your gear without drawing attention to themselves and nothing is going to stop someone determined with boltcutters or a lockpick for keyed locks (besides the fact that wherever you leave your skis tied up there are likely to be many people around). Perhaps more importantly it also prevents people innocently picking up your skis if they have the same pair and get confused. Cable length is more than long enough to go around several pairs of skis. Code is easy to reset and provided you don't set it to something stupid like 0123 (or any very low or very high number where people would logically start and cycle forwards or backwards from there) then there are 10,000 combinations and it will take 10 times longer to crack than some of the three barrel locks available. After a couple days I did however notice a small issue in the design (which I won’t point out) that I could effectively exploit to crack the code in about a minute but it does require some close examination to notice it and I doubt that the majority of people would spot it without having played around with the lock quite a bit. Due to the nature of this issue I am sure it would apply to pretty much every code lock like this available though and since deterrence is really the main purpose I don’t consider it a problem. A brass lock with a key would be harder to unlock or break for your average person but then you also have to carry the wire and fumble to tie it up securely whilst this can just retract and lock. Likewise it is also harder for you to unlock if you lose the key and you are then pretty much stuck. This can easily be put in a bag or even just locked to your bag or belt without weighing you down and there’s nothing to lose. Just keep the code somewhere in your locked phone (and don’t make the code your bank pin in case the thieves are also pickpockets obviously) and this seems like a perfect solution. Yes... I put an unnecessary amount of thought into this.

Quick, light and easy to use everyday.
My teenager kid is using this lock with his belongings when on trainings. He likes to take his kick scooter (?) everywhere. I know that it is not strong but scooter has limited number of "holes" so big locks will not work. I also use second lock (I have bought two of them) to secure my bag in hotels and in transit. Again... it is not strong but if you are in hotel you do not expect someone with special equipment. I just want to be sure that my electronic devices will be in the room. This lock has small diameter so it goes thru zipper. I can use one lock to lock all zippers in my bag.
