Great Use as a Pool Drain Line Hose Reel
After being unable to find a dedicated pool drain hose reel that either wasn't an ugly fluorescent orange or excessively priced, I took my chances with this Liberty Basics 512 Wall Mount garden hose reel. I have 100 ft. of 2-inch heavy-duty collapsable hose drain line that was a chore to pull out to the road each time I needed to drain some water from in or under the pool. Then, hand-coiling the drain hose while trying not to twist it to hang the bundle on the fence after the draining was done was a tedious chore. This reel holds the 100 ft. of collapsed hose nicely. I used some heavy-duty zip ties through each of the wall mount screw-holes to fasten the reel frame to my aluminum fence. This affordable hose reel seems sturdy enough to adapt and meet my needs perfectly!

Pretty Husky!
The reel was well thought out of by the designers and appears to be pretty sturdy once its all put together. I t should last a long time with a little care.

Broken but works...
For the price it would be nice if it was package better. It was broken out of the box. See picture. I assembled the hose reel and the broken part didn't seem to conflict with operation. Assembly was as easy as can be with easy to understand instructions.

Ok
Works ok. Does leak on the internal connection and the hose connector spout on the reel is too high. Kinks off the hose when you start to seel it up.

Plastic
When putting it together a small piece broke on the frame. So I gave it a 4 star. I have a lot of upper body strength so I guess I pushed it together to hard. So if you order just remember it’s plastic.

Not a very good quality for the money

Awesome Hose Reel
This hose reel was better than expected, in fact it's better than units twice the cost. If you can assemble a childs 24 piece puzzle you will not have any issues with assembly. The diagrams are precise with easy to follow instructions. Assembled in 20 minutes. The unit has absolutely no leaks. The cosmetics are fantastic, looks very attractive in our front yard. I am placing order for second unit in back yard. We highly recommend this Hose Reel.

Replacement for my old Suncast hose reel
I had a Suncast hose reel for many years. After seeing the new ones in retail stores I wasn't in a hurry to replace it. After shopping around I came across this Liberty 510 hose reel. I was very impressed when it arrived. It's plastic, but it's a very sturdy plastic. I removed my old hose reel and compared it to this new Liberty. It looked like it was the exact same product. The design was exactly the same as my old Suncast reel. Installing it was just as easy. The only thing, if you're mounting it on brick (like me) then you will need to get the screws for brick as well as a masonry drill bit. It comes with a small container of lube that you must apply to the "O" rings before putting on the reel itself. The supply hose is also included. After installing the reel and turning on the water I had zero leaks. So far, the reel is working the way it should.

Great Value For Your Money
Excellent Quality.. durable construction. Lubricant enclosed with product was "limited" , and I added some grease as that is the ticket to longevity of the O'rings etc. My mount was to brick wall, so I had to purchase my own cement anchors to match the screws included with the pkg. The plastic anchors enclosed with the package were huge.......Not sure I'd ever use anything that large... Put it this way, drill a 1/4 hole and there is no way the enclosed anchor is going to fit in that hole. I would recommend this product to others. and I also have a very heavy construction grade hose on the reel and it handles the weight very well. Naturally I pull some hose along to ease the tension on the reel, then I wind that part up, and I pull some more hose and reel that up etc...... To expect a vinyl hose reel to wind up a heavy hose that is extended out 100' is asking too much. I have another reel on the other side of the house now for 25 years and it still works fine, and no leaks the secret is to grease the O'rings annually using liberal amounts of grease. Lastly remember to open up the hose before winding so the weight of the water drains during winding.

Rotary Seal Leaks Intermittently
I chose this unit because of its profile - it doesn't project too far into the room from the mounting point. My goal was to get my hose installed inside my garage so I could have my hose fully operational during the winter without risk of freezing. Unfortunately, this did not work as well as I had expected despite taking a lot of care to ensure the seal was well lubricated when it was installed. When the hose is pressurized, I either get a drip from the unit or a steady stream of water running on the floor. I expected better. I do not recommend.

Trash, absolute trash. Spend your money on something better quality.
First mistake, buying this in fall and using it once prior to putting it away for the winter and then when using it consistently in the spring finding out that it is garbage and not even return eligible. Second mistake, thinking something on Amazon isn't actually a cheap piece of garbage. This thing is so wonky and says it holds up to 225ft of hose. Nope. I have a 100ft hose and it has already broken the top piece off. Also, how it is designed where it attached the hose it forces the hose to kink at the connection to the reel. Third mistake, thinking you could use this on the side of a house with yards in both directions to the right and left. Unless your yard is directly in front/behind you, this thing is incapable of winding up the hose properly so you need to drag the hose directly in front of the reel prior to winding it in. Anyways, if you are looking for something to buy that has like a month warranty and isn't that great, this is just the product for you. If you actually don't want to be frustrated, spend your money on something of better quality.

Okay
This reel is okay for the price. It is a bit flimsy, though. Curiously, the handle on the reel is a comfortable, grippy, soft rubber but it does not rotate, so you have to loosen your grip and allow it to slip as you wind up the hose. When I hooked up the hose and tried it it leaked like a sieve. I tried changing washers and even adding a second washer, but to no avail. To their credit, the manufacturer shipped me out a new hose when I advised them of the defect. Like I say, okay for the price. I needed another two reels, but I elected to pick up a couple of better, cheaper (but made in USA) reels from Home Depot instead.

A very expensive poorly made garden hose cart
i cannot imagine somebody would pay over 50$ for this cart. Mine costs less since I bought it thru Amazon's warehouse open box deals. The cart is made of low quality plastic and the couplings of cheap metal, Even after adding on an additional washer & tightening the coupling to the max, there is still some water leakage. Any additional torquing would surely destroy the connection. The handle is always very difficult to turn. My suggestion: for less than half the price buy an expandable hose that takes up very little space & comes with it's own holder.
