Prominent seams.

These mugs are VERY tall, even taller than my Libbey coolers! This could be a good thing or bad thing depending on what you are looking for. On the good side, the mugs are sturdy and stable and do not tip over easily, and are very aesthetically pleasing. On the negative side, while they are EASY to hold, they can be uncomfortable if you like to wrap your hands around the warm mug like I do. Just like many other reviewers have said, they have very prominent seams. This problem appears to be the rule and not the exception and for that reason I cannot recommend them as a gift unless you order and inspect them yourself first. Also don't know if the seams would affect function or durability in any way. All in all they are attractive mugs but the issue with the seams was a deal breaker for me and I returned them. I have been purchasing Libbey for years and normally love their quality, but this one doesn't cut it for me.

Libby Crystal Quality

Great glass, comfort, style. Not as thick as other Libby Crystal Coffee Mugs and you can feel and see the seems, at first, this did not seem like the Libby Crystal that gained my favor, however, just guess it is a different type of glass.

Good coffee mug!

I bought another 13 oz. Libbey coffee mugs last week and impressive how a glass made, it is sturdy, beautiful, and good size for coffee. Then I looked for the bigger one, I found other brand and ordered it. It arrived but sadly too thin, fragile, I was afraid to use it and returned. I got this one now just to search for the same brand Libbey and no disappointed. Love ❤️

Strange Seam Down the Side

This set of interesting mugs, the Libbey Cavana Tall Mug, 16.4-ounce, Set of 4, is sturdy glass. The glass is quite thick, and the mug feels heavy. We make quite a few lattes and coffee/tea drinks in these cups. They look dramatic and professional (my daughter has been a barista in her life, so she makes drinks that are quite impressive, and the mugs show them off). I think with proper care, these mugs will last a pretty long time. The only thing that is quite jarring about these mugs is that the seam in the middle of the glass is very pronounced. I wouldn't mention it except for the fact that it's quite, QUITE noticeable, and the ridge sticks out in the middle of the handle. On some of the mugs it's sharp--not overwhelming, but you can absolutely feel it. It also cheapens the appearance of the mugs a bit--they look unpolished; careless. More expensive glasses/ glass mugs that I own have no seams at all, or virtually invisible ridges. While this may not bother some people, it's just a heads-up.

Seam was a deal breaker

The seam on the handle was just too pronounced and hard to ignore. If that seam wasn’t so visible, it would’ve been a great mug. I wouldn’t keep this in my home.

Great for regular use or adult drinks

I use these a lot for just my regular coffee, but I do like the way adult drinks layer and look in them too. They hold just enough, you can have a decent sized cup of coffee, but not too much. These wash easily, don't take up as much space as some regular coffee mugs, and I like that I can use these for different holidays too. We used them recently to do hot cocoa bombs with the kids and they really liked being able to watch it all melt and swirl, not an affect we ever got with regular mugs, so I really like that these are clear and are getting more use than I thought they would.
