Perfect toy for busy little kids! Great for taking turns!
I love Go Fish and used it with my own kids when they were little ..now I use it in my sessions with my young clients and is a hit! Is enough challenging to entertain the little ones as I interview their parents! Is also a great toy to develop fine motor skills (eye and hand coordination skills) and a great toy to teach little ones to “share…and to take turns!) :) I highly recommended it for your own kids or as a great birthday gift! Is packaged nicely in its sturdy box and the toy is also of good quality, just don’t forget to buy a AA battery which is not included.

The nostalgia was not overblown!
I used to love this game as a kid and when I saw it pop up in my suggestions, I knew my 3.5 year old would love it too. It keeps us busy for about bad half hour and thats only because I tore of the game before she does. It has brought a lot of joy to our play time!

Fun for 4 kids
Use this in class. The kids loved it for review time. We homeschool so it came in handy for the kids while doing review. Kids laughed along with wanting to play more.

Childhood Nostalgia, Easy for Preschooler to Learn
I used to have this game when I was a kid in the 90s and was looking for a travel game to take on vacation with us. This popped up in the search and I had to get it. For less than $9, it's a bargain. You will need a C battery that is not included. Once all the fish are loaded, you each take a fishing pole and turn the switch on the game. That starts the fish moving and opening and closing their mouths. Be the one who collects the most fish and you win. The motor is kinda loud, but that was to be expected. The game is so fun for the adults, 4 year old and 10 year old. It's actually harder than it looks to hook the fish, so we discovered that you kinda hover the pole end over the mouth and when it opens the mouth, put the pole in and wait til it closes its mouth before you pull it up. You can use this for color recognition and counting as well since you have to count how many fish each person ends up with. My only complaint is the fishing poles are way cheaper and thinner than I remember. You have to be really careful with those or they'll snap.

Great game for a 4yo kid
My 4 yo son loves this game. Very good for hand-eye coordination. He can play with it alone (pr with someone) for quite a long time. Pros: "pond" and fish are good quality and mechanism works well. Cons: a tad bit noisy when turned on. Also needs a C battery... which is not something most of us have already and extremely hard to find in rechargeable type (I was not able to find a rechargeable C battery)... which is unfortunate. Also the fishing rods are a bit flimsy, easy to brake. If I remember correctly, we had this game as kids ourselves but the fishing rods were composed of a small stick with a rope and a "hook" at the end. That made it harder then the fishing rods they have with the game today. However that can easily be remedied by making our own fishing rods "old style" with a rope just to increase the difficulty level a bit. All in all still a great game for a 4yo.

Fun game for little kids but very noisy!
My 3 and 4 years old love the game. It's well made but it it sooo loud! Even my 3 years old didn't want to play at first because she was scared of the noise. Also it doesn't come with the batteries. You have to buy them seperatly and it takes special batteries, not regular AAA.

Too hard
This is an OK little toy for the price. The 'fish' filled tray, revolves around a base containing raised areas which when travelled over, force the 'fish' to open their mouths, enabling you to use one of the 'rods' to catch it and pull it free. Whoever gets the most fish is the winner. Very simply but is actually really hard. The tray revolves pretty quickly (and is very noisy), so the fish's mouths don't stay open for that long. It's hard for my 3yr old (her third birthday was last week) to catch even a single fish, she keeps having to turn it off. To be honest, it's difficult enough for me as an adult to play it how it's meant to be played. To its credit, it does state on the box that it's for ages 4+ but I'd have issue with even that age...more like 6+. To make it even more difficult, the designers have made each of the 'fishing rods' pivot at the end and move freely, so it's not just a case of putting a rigid plastic stick into the mouth when it opens, you also have inertia to take into account. The other thing worth noting is that this takes a 1.5v 'C' cell battery (the short, dumpy round ones that nobody already has ever has in their cupboard and then has to go out to the shops specifically to buy one, and then they're only sold in 2s). :-) I'm only giving this 3 stars because of the price point...if it was any higher, it'd be down to a 2 star item.
