Still going strong after 8 years
This popper is as old as my 8 year old son, and he eats popcorn from it nearly everyday. The clear lid did not survive this long, it turned brown. I suppose it was still perfectly functional, we just didn't like using it after it got a little crispy. Turns out the 7" uncoated paper plates we get from costco are a perfect fit for the top. We use one a couple times and then toss it in the compost. The red collapsible bowl is as perfect as the day we bought it, we plan on using it for years to come.

Here's perfect instructions for popping in a 800-watt microwave oven
This is so easy to use, very easy clean up, and tastes so good even without butter, that I use it 4-5 times per week. In comparison, I've used Westbend Stir Crazy for dozens of years. But the last Westbend I bought worked poorly (a redesign of their better older model). So I tried this silicon popper. The first time I overcooked it and much was burnt. SO HERE ARE THE BEST INSTRUCTIONS FOR A 800-WATT MICROWAVE: Pop small batches at a time...only but popcorn kernels up to the first line! Add 2 teaspoons of oil (I use olive oil). Add a bunch of salt & stir until all kernels are coated with salt & oil mixture. Put popper in microwave, but not directly in the center (to avoid over cooking & unevenly cooking the center kernels). Pop on HIGH for 3 minutes 30 seconds. Quickly remove popper from microwave, & remove cover (careful cuz it's hot). Then taking a spoon, slide out all the popped corn & place in a large bowl, leaving the unpopped kernels still in the popper. Return the popper to the microwave, then cook on high for an additional 1 min 30 seconds. Stop cooking at that point, and don't try to pop every last kernel. This method cooks most kernels, and produces delicious popcorn, without over-cooking. I always used to use butter, but this method with this popper tastes so good, that I don't need butter. Try this on your 800-watt oven...you'll thank me.

BUY THIS. Purchased mine in 2019.
I purchased this waaaaay back in 2019. I use it probably 3-4x per week. I just pop plain kernels in it so I hardly ever even have to clean it. That said, it washes well, it has not lost it's shape, it doesn't collapse on itself, and it really works like brand new after 4 years!

It makes good popcorn and once I figure out the details, I expect excellent popcorn.
I have had this popper for a little over a week. I bought it the day after it was on sale for "Prime day" at about $14. So I paid full price (19.95) and now a week later it's down to about 15.50. Anyhow I tried to get amazon to give me a credit for the difference but apparently they only do so for TV's. But you don't care about my history ordering this product, you want to know what I actually think of the product. I have used it perhaps half a dozen times so far. I've been using Black Jewell popcorn (about 1/8 cup) with a small amount of oil (canola is what I happen to have right now), perhaps about 1/2 teaspoon. I stir them together in the container and add popcorn salt (I'm still experimenting on exactly how much to add to give the popcorn the right amount of saltiness). Put it in the microwave and set it for popcorn (which on my Whirlpool unit gives about 90 seconds. I've tried longer times as well. About half the time some of the popped kernels are thinking about burning. I have not burned the popcorn enough to make it inedible but I am still experimenting on the exact length of time. Most of the kernels pop (4 or 5 typically fail to pop in a batch of 1/8 cup). I now know not to try to repop the unpopped kernels. The flavor and saltiness are good (but this probably has more to do with the choice of popcorn and amount of salt). Sometimes I eat it out of the container, at other times I pour it into a small stainless bowl that I often use. Black Jewell kernels are typically smaller than regular popcorn so I end up with the popper about half full -- not even enough to get up to where the top is. IMHO there should be holes in the top to allow the steam to escape to keep the popcorn from becoming damp (a problem that so far I haven't really had). Previously I have popped about twice as much -- at the movies I would typically eat half a tub of popcorn so this is less than half that much. I use a sponge with warm water and dish detergent to clean the popper and let it dry in the air. It is easy to do it that way. SUMMARY: I would buy this again (even at the full price). I expect to eventually find an amount of popcorn and time to make very good popcorn. I now prefer it to my hot air popper because I don't have to add butter to salt the corn. I do however like to add butter after the popping sometimes. With hot air corn butter is always mandatory if you like salt on popcorn. With this popper butter is optional. EDIT: I have now had it for almost a month and am still experimenting with the settings. Currently I have settled on the automatic popcorn setting on our Whirlpool microwave. This runs for approximately 1.5 minutes. Interestingly it seems less likely to burn Orville Redenbacker popcorn than the gourmet stuff but mostly adjusting the amount of corn I pop and the amount of oil seems to be working. I have slightly increased the amount of popcorn (to somewhere between 1/8 cup and 1/4 cup) and decreased the amount of oil (I pour the oil into the cap of the oil bottle and dispense it into the popcorn there -- I'd estimate about 1/2 tsp). I then stir the oil into the popcorn with my finger and pour on the right amount of popcorn salt and stir it again. SECOND EDIT: We have arrived home from our extended vacation and I am now using our home microwave, a Dakor whose popcorn setting "senses" how the popcorn is cooking and goes until it should stop. I've popped three batches in three days, some Redenbacker and two varieties of Black Jewel. Two batches popped perfectly with about a teaspoon of unpopped kernels and no hint of burning. On the third batch I opened the microwave door when I thought it might be getting ready to burn due to a hint of smoke. There was a very faint smell of burnt kernels but it was not objectionable in the least. There were about two teaspoons of unpopped kernels. As of this moment I would rate this device as 4.5 stars and would unquestionably repurchase it again. HOWEVER, based on all the poor reviews there may be a strong correlation between satisfaction and the kind of microwave/level of user skill in making this device work well. I still have not popped any corn without oil.

Make your Popcorn as Healthy as You Want
I bought this but found it a pain to clean so tucked it away for a year. Then, husband started making popcorn with it. I was hooked. I found an easier way to clean it by collapsing it and then washing it with my hands and soap. We do use a minimal amount of oil on our popcorn, about a tsp. We rub that around over all the kernels and then pop in the microwave. Add a little table salt. Yum!

First usage and very impressed!
I used my Lekue Popper for the first time just now. Very pleased and happy!! I did four individual consecutive poppings without any added salt or butter. I placed 7 to 8oz of kernels in the bowl for each popping. Again to note, I added nothing! Just popped the corn. My Panasonic Microwave oven has the built-in “popping corn” timer and every bowl popped beautifully in its timed sequence. FYI…I use white popping corn. The pop corn comes out fully, very clean white color and with hardly any un-popped kernels. I have two separate theatre style plastic bowls where each one holds two amounts of the Lekue popped corn perfectly. Once these containers are filled is when I add salt to each bowl along with my melted butter. I have made pop corn with all kinds of contraptions in the past and have to say this is the easiest, fastest and quickiest clean-up yet with great looking and tasting pop corn. With my method means the Lekue bowl is extremely quick and easy to clean. I just rinse the Lekue with some warm water and dry with my dish towel. My theater style bowls is where it is a bit more cleaning time due to the butter and salt residue. It still is not a big deal though as I do a quick light soapy wash which cuts through the butter residue and a quick rinse then towel dry. So far, this Lekue is working very well. Update: Bought another exact Lekue Bowl (above) in December 2021. It works so extremely well that got another one for a gift. I usually make 6 Lekue bowls of popcorn every two weeks. This product continues to perform perfectly. Can’t say enough good things about it! Wonderful!!!

Excellent popcorn!
This is amazing! I've tried those electric popcorn makers, popcorn in a pan on the stove (which is excellent but oily) and popcorn in the microwave in other bowls. This is the best so far! Popcorn is nicely popped and you can add oil, butter and spices directly to the bowl or leave it out for healthy snacking. Those awful Act II packets work great in this, but ditch that junk and make your own flavored popcorn! The instructions have some nice recipes including for Masala popcorn and my fav, kettle corn! It works really well and fast! My 700W microwave finishes off a smallish portion of kernels in two minutes or so. Watch out for burning and definitely stop this when the popping slows. I love that I can also make just popcorn with salt and no oil or butter at all. Still works great. And it cleans up really well with no smells or anything. It is also awesome because it collapses down to a nearly flat circle that takes up no room. Great! A little pricey, but obviously excellent European design and quality, so well worth the price if you even kind of like popcorn. Movie nights will never be the same after you bust out this sucker!

The ideal popcorn maker that ticks all the boxes. Initially hesitant about the price, but totally worth it.
OK I bought one for myself in a shop and loved it so much I bought one online for my mum and sister. I wasn't sure I could justify the price initially, but it's totally worth it (popcorn is my go-to snack!). Pros: SO easy to use. Just pour in the popcorn, pop the lid on lightly and then in the microwave for 3 minutes. I usually pour in a tiny bit of coconut or olive oil, or a vegan butter with the kernels so that the seasoning sticks (usually just a bit of salt). Less washing up to do - as you eat from the same bowl you cooked the popcorn in, you don't have pans and bowls you need to wash afterwards. Less packaging to waste - no more paper and cardboard waste from microwave popcorn! Healthier - you know what you're putting in, none of this chemical stuff that they put in packets of microwave popcorn, and you can add healthy oils to get a good bit of essential fat into your diet, but if you want to keep the calories low, they pop nicely with just the steam. Beautiful, fluffy popcorn. I always struggled to get the same kind of popcorn when making it in the pan, so this is ideal. Super tasty and light. If there are some kernels leftover that didn't pop, you can usually pop them successfully the second time round - no more waste! Folds away neatly and takes up less room in the kitchen. Cons: Because it folds away, it's a bit flimsy and washing it is a bit annoying - but you get used to it and find a way around it. I usually fold it down and wash it that way, as it's sturdier, or I kind of turn it on its side and rotate it as I wash.

It's great!
Exactly as advertised. Super easy to use, works great every time and you can make oil and salt free popcorn. I wanted it as a healthier alternative to classic oily popcorn, so I have never tried it with oil to know how well it works like that. But without it's brilliant. And 0 mess too.

A good compromise between microwavable popcorn and the pressure-cooker variety.
I splurged on this instead of the knock-off that's available for about one-third the price, and it seems to be worth it - I didn't want to risk a fire in the microwave because of how hot everything gets while popping. Using this thing is a breeze - just follow one of the recipes in the product manual. Most of the time, I just mix 70g popcorn with 1 tbsp olive oil, and 1 tsp of salt, and then pop it for three minutes at max. Comes out perfect, with only a few unpopped kernels. This is so much easier than popping ACT-II's cheap popcorn in a pressure cooker (cleaning the pressure cooker afterwards is a pain), and so much cheaper than buying ACT-II's microwave popcorn bags. A good compromise!
