Splendid learning tool
Perfect for 3+ year olds. Seems too simple for 6 year olds. 3 year old requests to use it all the time. Great learning game.

Well Made
The shapes were made of durable plastic and the cards of light cardboard. My students enjoyed building structures to match the cards.

Fun while learning .
My 3 yr old grandson loves puzzles and playing with shapes . He loves replicating the shapes designs on the cards . I like the fact that he is learning while playing.

Great for the College Classroom, Too!
I use this game in my Public Speaking course (Freshman-level Speech) for college students. We play the game 2 different ways: 1) Active Listening/Effective Communication: There are about 5-6 students in a group. I have the picture cards. One student from each group will come view the card for 10 seconds and then return to the group to describe how to build the structure in the picture. They have to employ memory skills and effective communication skills during this process. They have to remember the shapes, colors, and patterns on each block and how they were positioned in the picture, and THEN they have to communicate all of that info back to the group. And when they are actively competing against other teams, it's even more challenging, but it gets them up and moving and working in teams, which is my goal. (15-30 mins) 2) Team-Building/Small Group Communication: Again, there are about 5-6 students in a group (I would prefer 4 or less, but I only have 2 sets of these blocks). They determine their own roles in the group and what each member will do. Some choose to observe, some prefer to build, and some prefer to interpret the cards and direct the building of the structure. The cards include a picture and a challenge statement at the bottom, so after they build the structure, they must then rebuild the structure according to the challenge statement. Only a few of the challenges have only ONE answer, so they inadvertently discuss all possible solutions. I generally don't interact with the groups when they are playing this game; I prefer to monitor if and how well their teams are working together and occasionally offer remind them who is hands-on, who is good at interpreting data, and who is a good evaluator or helper. (15-30 mins) Durability: pretty good 1) The cards are printed on slick paper and are fairly durable. 2) The blocks are plastic and get knocked over often. We have linoleum floors in our classrooms so they have endured some abuse. Only one block has broken so far - the sphere - and we just taped it back together and it's still going strong. What you get: 1) The cards are double-sided and include 40 puzzles total. They range from easy to difficult. 2) There are 2 sets of blocks included, which allows (for me) only 2 teams to be working from the same set of cards. For $18, I have gotten a LOT of use out of this critical-thinking game. I will most likely add 2 more sets to my collection, to facilitate more group activities in the classroom. The only downside is I have only been able to incorporate the game once per semester, but that could just be a lack of creativity on my part.

Get it!
If your hesitant about getting this magical game please don’t! Get it! Buy it! My autistic 5 yr old son loves it! He played for hour on end! He even brought the box with everything in it to bed with him! It’s definitely worth the price!

Great for classroom use
I use this in my classroom. My students love to copy the cards and make their own designs. This inspires creativity and problem solving.

SUCH and Excellent Short Term Memory / Spatial Recognition Game...BUY IT!!! :)
Please ignore all the negative reviews saying this game isn’t challenging enough and made for 3-5 year olds...these comments are founded on ignorance and/or a general misunderstanding of the purpose of these puzzles. The game is plenty challenging, and lots of fun if the game instructions are FOLLOWED PROPERLY. My 3 and 5 year old had a blast (with plenty of potential for them to keep growing into this game as the puzzle levels increase in difficulty). Even my hubby and I took turns and shared a few laughs ourselves on some of the higher level puzzle cards. 2 individuals (or you can even make it team play), race to complete the shape structure in the correct order/positioning FROM MEMORY. Players only have 10 seconds to look at the card, and then it’s supposed to be hidden from sight during the building process...the puzzle card is not meant to be used as a building instruction sheet…this is NOT LEGO! Lol! It is supposed to help develop short term memory, strategy and spatial understanding. Puzzle cards start off easy, and the challenges increase in difficulty (40 in total). The direction of the patterns on each block is important too when constructing each puzzle structure from memory. Further, each card has critical thinking bonus questions. Additionally, the puzzles can be played as a “Listen and Build” challenge where the cards are hidden completely and players have to build from verbal cues without visual aid. The only reason I rate it 4 on 5 is because I would have preferred if the pieces were wooden rather than plastic. But overall: awesome, screen-free fun!

Additional questions challenging not the picture cards
So it is a good concept, allows kids to think and replicate the diagram in the cards although this wasn't challenging for my 5 year old They can challenge themselves by attempting to answer the question at the bottom of the card which gets them thinking and adults too. Some arrangement of blocks were too tricky I think you will kinda never know whether you are correct because the answer sheet doesnt depict the correct answer. It is however a different product that most kids toys in the market so at least it offers variety. All in all a good product offering something different but nothing groundbreaking

Great resource
I really liked this resource - my 2.5 year olds likes to build with them, but as she gets older I think the patterning aspect of the resource will really come in handy. I think it's more suitable for older kids for patterning, but works well for younger kids for building, talking about shapes and colours. Lot's of options to create different patterns with the cards. Would recommend.
